That was amazing to watch.

So before i left for school today i swung by my buddys shop cause he said he found the wrangler bellhousing.

Its not going to work. It would bolt up fine but I think its for an internal slave. There is a hole for the slave but the orientation is alittle different and there are no studs or threaded holes in which to mount the slave. He said hes going to make a few calls to see if he can find one that will work.

I am going back to the JY Thursday morning, let me know if you haven't found one yet. 774 922 2854

Carparts has a bunch. and there pretty cheap closest one is in VA. Iv inquired about shipping on a few, just waiting to hear back.

I checked ebay again just to see if i was dumb and missed it, but still nothing.

thanks for the help guys

I jynxed the hell out of myself. Guess who just found out their bellhousing is cracked from below the starter all the way up and around to the driver side E12 bellhousing bolt?

He also has two thumbs.

I have a spare AX15 I was gonna be putting in real soon, so worst case I'll pull mine, stuff in my spare, pull the bellhousing at the junkyard and ship it off. Either that or just go nuts on my V8 swap plan.

Lol that sucks. I think you should go nuts.

My buddy said he found one for 100 bucks. And he could have it for tomorrow. So i told him to buy it.

Maybe you should pull the one at the yard anyway. Cause if you have a spare you will never break one again.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Problem: I have two days of wheeling planned this weekend. I'm not missing that for any reason.

So I either have to start and finish a V8 swap by Friday night (two and a half days is enough, right?) or slap in my spare and grab the junkyard one tomorrow.

I suspect it probably broke when I hydrolocked at the start of the month... I noticed that the clutch felt a bit strange right after that happened, and was much stiffer than usual the next day.

if it lasts more then 4 hours call your doctor.

made some pretty good progress on the 14b today. got it totally striped down to the bare housing. I have to say, after taking it all apart and seeing how it all works I have alot of respect for who ever engineered it. its great how everything is adjustable. no stupid rag trick. carrier just pops right out. I cleaned the crap out of my spider gears and one side of my carrier. and plan on welding them up. if I get my HW done early enough tomorrow Ill do that, or atleast start it.

this is how I plan on doing it. im sure its a bit over kill, but I down want broken weld floating around and messing up my new gears.
