GUNS & AMMO

I need a new holster for my 24/7 pro .40. I have never purchased one before and know very little about them.

I always carry my gun when in the woods and also shoot in IDPA matches.

So I need one that is secure enough to f around in the woods but something I can draw quickly at IDPA.

Can someone school me on this? Or give suggestions?

I think we should all put $5.00 in and make some tannerite this summer. Get someone to donate a POS beater car, and blow it sky high! Videotape it and put it on Youtube.

Awesome Naxja recruiter tool...lol

I've got a buddy that's got about 200acres in Pueblo we could use. If youve never shot tannerite before, it's fun as Hell!

tannerite is cool.
the morons who shoot it in high volumes in nat'l forest are damned morons. No better than shooting propane tanks with a flare strapped to it imo.
Just be smart about its uses please.

That's like asking what gun is best.

The BLM has put a total ban on it any time of year anywhere in the area controlled by the slc office. That pretty much covers half the state. Kind of sad too. We used to go out on the mud flats where there wasn't a weed or piece of vegetation in a 50 square mile radius.

we have dumb asses here shooting 20lbs sitting in a container ON a tree. Seriously. That's what they do out here.

I didn't see a belt holster on their site. The holsters look nice though.

Should have said I was looking for a belt style QuickDraw holster.

We saw a few guys getting hauled away by Foresty/Sheriff last Fall for shooting it on the South side of Mt. Herman.

There's having fun; then there's being irresponsible.

I dunno how many of you are familiar with shooting the flat tip bullets in some of the older lever guns. But if you are, you know how much it sucks since the arc is ridiculous, and the momentum is slaughtered by that snub nose.
Well I finally got to put a few rounds of the 'Leverlution' ammo (325 gr) through my .45-70 today. Oh man what a difference. The shoulder gauge feels soo much more oomph, and the projectile path is so much more flat. took a few rounds to figure out what the adjustment was to get back on target. So much more confidence in that rifle now knowing it CAN be reliable at a couple hundred yards. Awesome.

Also got to shoot my new to me 10/22. I love those little things. This one doesnt have the scope like our other one but it still was dead on at about 100 yards and no FTF/FTE. I was really happy with it. Still need to decide if its worth keeping or just having the one 10/22 instead. :dunno:

GUNS & AMMO

If you want to swap your extra 10-22 out for a Walther G22 bullpup let me know. I've been contemplating trying to make a trade.

How many of you are trying to figure out what guns you might own in the next 50 years and are starting to buy magazines for them before they become illegal?

I would never own such terrible things like guns, but if I did I would own at least:
-AR in 223/556
-10/22
-AK

Any others I should consider? And by I, I really mean you?
-AR in 7.56
-AK in 223
-AK in 5.45
-S&W AR-15/22

GUNS & AMMO

Biggest thing for me is an AR-10 (really tempted to get the MagPul magazines) or M1A. Those are the two guns I'd really like to get eventually. I'd also love to get a Steyr AUG but luckily with the NATO stock they take AR-15 mags and I have 20 or so of those.

I would love love love a CZ858. that will never happen. If on the odd chance it does. My ak mags will work.

The only couple guns I would want and need to worry about magazines would be a 1911 double stack in 9mm and a S&W M&P in .40... Or if I work way down the line, a Tommy Gun. Other than that, my biggest wants are mostly long guns.

Speaking of mags. I went to a semi-local outdoors store today. I can't find AR mags anywhere in the stores or online accept for Armslist and people there want an arm and a leg. This place (Scheel's) has mountains of AR mags. Even the 100rd Surefire mags and 100rd drums. I picked up a pair of metal AR mags @$20/ea, I've now got 10. They wanted $120 or so for the Surefire mags and $300 for the drums.
