GUNS & AMMO

This makes me very angry. It's an out and out lie. I volunteered and went to the first meeting. I'm not paid and I'm not from out of state. The compaign had started to use paid signature collectors in an effort to get enough. The information spoken of is merely name and address and signature. It's a formality that is required, and the collector already has that info as it is public info provided by the state.

Have you heard the radio spots?

No, but I get the ads on web sites. On Instapundit, no less. It really, really pisses me off. And that progressive twit, Mike Merrifield is planning on running for his spot. I stopped listening to 107.9, the new oldy station, because they were running ads supporting the gun control laws. I heard an ad on 98.1 about impeaching Obama over Benghazi.

For a guy who was quoted saying he can't be recalled, he sure is trying to muddy the water and appears to be awfully worried about it.

Btw, who is paying for his misinformation campaign?

Funny how the demos are crying about a recall campaign costing 250k, lmfao.

Spend spend spend, but not if it involves voters exercising their right to recall lying scumbag politicians.

Well, gee, I skimmed it too fast. It may have some out of state support now, but it started as a total grass roots effort. Shit, Morse and Hickenpooper's gun control efforts were financed by fricking bloomberg. Turn abouts fair play. :)

I found it funny that you have to sign up in order to support NOT signing a petition......

It is the new wave of silliness, just like OFA's announcement that they are "Going to deliver 1.4 million signatures on a petition to congress demanding the passage of the background check."

Wonder how hard it would be to get the owners of the 300 million guns that are known about to show up on the lawn of the white house and tell Obamy to "PISS off!"

:gag:

Just did my speech on 2nd amendment in Colorado and it is scary how everyone in my generation leans towards the pussyliberalls and away from our rights and our freedoms....

not everyone, just the suburban middle class white kids at public state indoctrination/incarceration centers... good on ya for bucking the trend!

Picked up a couple of more things in the past couple of days, each time I go off on a trip brown santa drops off new stuff for me.

I would love to get me one of each of those! Those beta mags go for $300 around here. Dunno if you get a better deal out there, but it's just not in my budget for now.

What's the little piece on top of the receiver where the buffer tube screws in? Looks like its sandwiched between the receiver and the receiver end plate.

It was a little under $300 shipped from Beta. It was on backorder for a couple of months before I got it. It actually showed up as in stock from cheaper than dirt about 2 weeks before mine shipped, I was contemplating ordering it from them.

I would not have spent the money for one for a long time, it was something I figured I would buy in a couple of years, same with the all the pmags. The first part of the build on the AR is going to be a 22LR for cheap shooting fun, I figured I would pick up some 223 goodies a few years out, since we have a ban going into effect I figured I would spend my money now getting things I cannot get(as easily) in the future. This means it will be even longer before I really start to build the AR the way I want it, so this all will go back on the back burner for awhile.

Might get out the 22 pistol and the carbine for a bit of fun.

The nice thing about the 22lr drum is that you can buy different tower parts if you wanted to use the same drum with a ruger 10/22 for example.

Not sure what you are talking about on the receiver end plate, I'm guessing a camera lighting trick:

The flat piece is what I'm talking about. It looks different from what I'm used to. All the receivers I've seen are rounded all the way around the top. Could be trickery.

Seems like you're going about your AR build backwards from me. I've got all my parts on order to be running gas piston in .223/5.56 sometime this summer. Around July, I think. When funds allow, I will start buying parts for the dedicated .22 that will go on my poly lower. I've been building off of that for now but I'm expecting my Spike's Punisher lower any day now.

Did you order that 22lr drum from Beta as well?

Definitely gonna have to pick one of those up someday. It'll be boss when I'll have built my .22 AR pistol.

Any of you guys hunt big game with an AR platform rifle? I'm looking to the future in my hunting options and thinking about if/when I get the chance to hunt out west for big game, I'd like to have a good weapon.

I've thought about getting a bolt rifle in .300WinMag and here recently began considering an AR10 in .338Federal. I would like to be able to take anything in North America, which would be great for the .300WM but I like the idea of having a great .30 caliber AR platform for hunting.

Thoughts?
