GUNS & AMMO

I have an XDS .45 and a XDM-C .45 you can shoot. The only guy I know with an M&P carries a 9mm full size and a Shield in .40 cal.

Hey Dutch how do you like that XDS my dad just bought one a while back and I think that is up there with my 1911 as one of my all time favorite hand guns............

I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Buck family.

VERY nice. Take it on trade for ink work? That's definitely not your typical gun store AR.....

Too bad you didnt get to keep the 30 rnd mag with it.......:shhh:

partial trade for ink. A good friend/client of mine built it. I bought the 30rd at the flea market a while back before all the crap, in hopes that I would own one some day. :kissyou::eyes:
I'm waiting for Jeff to get back from vacation so we can figure out the scoop on the pwa lower. From what he found, I scored pretty big. Gotta figure out all the details!
but now I have a reason to post in this thread. Lol

Does anyone have a m&p or Xd in 45 I could put a round or two through(obviously not free burn of your ammo) before I really give in to picking one over the other? Just trying to find something more compact to carry and lighter.

I've got an M&P 45. You, Dutch and I al live up north now so maybe we can get together.

You can shoot my XD 45.

I'd buy the M&P over the XD if we're talking about full sized. I haven't shot the new smaller / thin / slim XD 45 single stack. I've been unimpressed with the durability of my full sized XD. The mags are junk and the slide shows a ton of wear. I only keep it for sentimental reasons.

GUNS & AMMO

I am very happy with my XDM .45 except I wish I'd gone with a longer barrel. I bought the 3.8 compact so it would be easier to conceal but then bought the XD-S. Stupid on my part.

I have also liked every M&P variant I've ever shot. Really, either way you go is a good choice.

I haven't owned an FNP-45 but I did own an FNP-9 and loved it. Only reason I got rid of it was because I switched over to .45 for pistols and used it to fund an extra one for my wife.

I have an xd .40 and I love it. I got the wife a m&p 9mm. But we ended up getting her a ruger sr9 and she likes the feel of it better than the m&p. Not saying it was a bad gun by any means.
basically. What I'm getting at is. Everyone will have their opinion on what's the best gun for them. But for you to really know what you will like. You gotta get out there. Its ultimately going to depend on your personal likes and dislikes.
just my .02¢

Looks to me like the HOLO sight is mounted backwards. Maybe it's just a weird design with battery tray to the rear of the viewing window. But, a nice rifle none the less.

FWIW-If you are looking at putting a different free floating hand rail on there give me a holler. I like Troy Industries personally and it is a simple 15min install no matter what company you choose to go with. The rail will give you the option of mounting a fore grip and or light. Maybe MAGPUL makes additional proprietary accoutrements for their hand rail, IDK. If you choose to go this route you will most likely have to buy another gas block and gas tube-not that expensive and easy to replace. A mid-length/carbine length tube will operate better on a longer rifle barrel as well. Looks like you have a short gas tube, or is it piston driven instead of direct impingement?

to be completely honest. I dont know enough about all the internal parts. Lol. I know its a chrome lined barrel. And I know all internals are ether titanium or forged.
I dont really want to start changing things on it. Its pretty light and comfortable as is.
the sight is on correct. I'll try and take a picture. I'm just stepping into rifle ownership.
I'm slowly learning more and more everyday.
lol.

I see. I just looked up the sight. Yup, you are right. Sorry for that, just trying to help. It looked backwards to me compared to the EoTechs I use. I like that it has 4 options for reticles. Pretty cool. Anyways, if you have any issues with it, or would like some work done, please don't hesitate to give me a shout.

oh no worries man. I didn't take it in a bad way. I just feel like I need to get to know my weapon before I start trying to change things. Lol. I will post up here before I make any changes.

Hey guys, I am trying to get an approx value on a Rem 700 22-250 Bull Barrel w/ Synth stock. The gun is blued. I have had this gun for about 15 years and have shot it a total of 3 times putting less that 80 rounds through the barrel. The gun is in perfect condition.

I originally bought it to keep coyotes off my buddies farm back in IL but since I have moved here I have no use for it anymore. (not that I used it much back in IL obviously) I really did enjoy shooting this rifle but could really use something like a 260 or a 270 for elk and deer out here.

Anyone have any idea on the trade value for something like this? I figured I would get some decent opinions on here.
