what gps units are all you guys running in your rigs? im looking but i havent decided on what to buy yet
What is your planned usage? Using it for navigation while trail-running? Or are you going racing? What gps units,... ...,I'm looking but i haven't decided on what to buy yet.
Showoff,...
I want,.... :tears:
Delorme Street Atlas isn't going to have race maps loaded in it... unless it accepts lowrance maps. For that money you could probably pick up a used toughbook and run Delorme Street Atlas or something. Wouldn't be as easy to mount or use while driving, but if you want a PC in the truck anyway for some reason...
So, your G1 isn't capable of this? Shame shame. Now you need to get a better phone and call it good.I have a question to add to this... I have a 7" monitor already mounted in my dash that was hooked up to a clarion navigation system years ago. Are there any GPS units suitable for prerunning that I could hook into the RCA inputs of this monitor? I'm debating ripping it out and cutting the dash up again to fit a lowrance unit in there but I'd rather keep the screen and be lazy![]()

Most windows mobile phones that are GPS capable can run any maps and can be output either via a/v cable, usb, or usb to a/v out. And I was just partially giving you crap. androids OS 2.1 should be much better than the current version tho, also.what the hell are you talking about? what phone functions as a GPS that can load race course maps and is capable of outputting to a video screen?
