Anyone have a GPS created trail map of the Badlands, RORP, or Cliffs.

Sounds like that would be a GREAT project for someone with a high end GPS.

Anyone have one (maps) or ideas on the subject. It sure would help when heading out wheeling with just a couple rigs or going solo.

search, you dummy!

:laugh3:

This is a great idea... I remember talking to someone a loooong time ago who supposidly mapped out the Badlands and his plan was to generate a better trail map, cuz the one Badlands distributes is pretty lame. But I don't think he ever followed through.

LOL :laugh3:

Twisted must be new to web forums in general me thinks... needs to take his Ritilin.

I tried to do Orange at the Badlands, several things contributed to my failure.

Trees obscured the signal at some times
Orange changes monthly...just a little
I have a Garmin GPS....you would need another Garmin to follow my track.

I did see a GPS route done at RORP, I think it is on thier site. As far as a GPS at Cliffs....never tried.

It can't be done without a winch and body damage. :laugh3:

Possibly the BEST movie ever IMHO. Kevin Bacon's FIRST movie as well!

Watched the DVD last night... there is a hilarious bonus feature, a mockumentary on where are they now.

I beleve at RORP you can get the GPS program for the park

That's cause RORP is THE REAL DEAL... no offense to the others but they are pretenders in comparison. A lot more $$$ backs up RORP too.

DAMN why is it so far away??

Not for me... just over an hour away! If only I had an operational rig...

Not to get the thread back on topic or anything but,
I am extreamly new to the GPS stuff. I've got a eTrex Legand, and would be willing to assist if I can. Assistance will be needed though, as I haven't totally got this thing figured out yet. Time to break out the book I guess. :paperwork TMI!

I have Trimble GEO XT and Terra Sync or ARCPAD for ploting and mapping these routes if someone wants to pay for my trip out (gas and food for the XJ) I will map any trail anytime!
