Pulled the transfer case again and put the shift fork in the right place. It now goes in and out of 4wd easily. I need to take it out and make sure 4lo is feeling better.

CTI testing by metalcloak. Scored a 700
I guess they have a custom trailer or two touring the country doing the CTI tests. Not sure when or where but I think they post that info on their Facebook page or website. The Skills day was pretty cool. They had spotters on all the hard obstacles.
I've had a weird issue with the jeep revving up to 2k when starting. Sometimes it stays up there and I turn it off and restart a couple times to fix. After doing a bunch of stuff that didn't work I finally cleaned the c101 connector on my Renix 4.0. Resistance from the tps to ground went from 1,600-3k ohms down to 17 ohms. The ohms would jump around before as I moved the wires at c101, but now it stays steady at under 17ohms. Started the jeep up and the rpms went down to idle speed 10x quicker than it has ever before. No lag at 2k or slow return to idle speed. First time ever since I've owned it. I plan on refreshing all the other grounds too. I haven't driven it yet, but judging by the resistance change and the great startup, I'm expecting good results.
I also bought some refurbished fuel injectors. I believe they are the 710s. They're yellow 19lb. Google a bunch and some people say you need to change the FPR to one on the fuel rail, others say it's not needed. I guess I'll see. Gonzo smells quite rich at idle. Could have been the bad ground, but I figured for$50 it's worth the investment to the 4 hole anyways. I hope I see some busted orings or something else odd when I take the old out. I'm gonna try and get it dialed in.
Fixed the bad ground on the harness going from tps and map sensor. Cut the crimps off and soldered the connections. Then I adjusted the tps. Fires up nicely and idles super smooth. It had a very choppy idle before. I ordered a new tps for good measure anyway. Will be in next week.
One weird thing happened today. I ordered a tripod on ebay for $42 and it was supposed to come from China in about a month. 2 days later it shows up at my door in an amazon box. Wtf? They're almost $100 on amazon and it was definitely sent from amazon. Just weird.
After reading El Sheetbox's thread I really want to rock some 37s on my D30/44. Been watching craigslist for some used. I also want to build a rear tire carrier. My rear bumper angles in at the edges under the lights so I can't mount my arm right there unless I did a bracket on the back of the bumper with a double shear style mount Idk.
I've been thinking of doing a low profile cut and fold tire carrier on my jeep, i've been toying with the idea of using a double shear hinge as well. It's a great idea, pretty easy to do too. what are you doubting about it?
Maybe I'll just throw some 35s on it. Don't want to hack it up too much.
For the tire carrier, Id like to get a nice 220v mig. I've only got a 110 now. I need to upgrade before making this thing. At work I use a real nice miller mig and the welds are night and day difference.
Go blue bro!! About once a month a killer deal on a miller 220v welder comes up on craigs, so just wait around for one to come up, its worth it. I got my millermatic 180 with a tank and cart for 600 which was really good
