If anyone knows someone who would be interested in my 93 xj, my buddy backed out on buying it. Asking $3000 for it. 4.7L stroker with less than 20k on it, 3.5" RE superflex lift, bilstien 7100s up front. 5 Mojave rims, roll cage, 1/4" plate front bumper, Durango box, 8.25" rear, removable front doors, and just had it smogged 30 days ago. I can't find my title, but will fill out lost title paperwork for dmv. I got over $2000 in engine alone. To see it in action search HandBuiltXJ on YouTube.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but I wouldn't recommend your youtube videos to people. No one is gonna want to buy a XJ for that asking price, after seeing it beaten like a slave. GLWS

Its body damage shows that it has been putten through its paces, but thanks for your 2 pennies.

what makes you think that adding a stroker means you don't need to regear?
Not sure if I am explaining this correctly/exact. But if you start with enough/lots power to turn the wheels, you would not need to regear to effectively increase the output to the wheels. Whereas, if your are underpowered and want more to turn the wheels, some re-gear due to it being more cost effective. Basically re-gearing helps compensate.

As someone who has 3 XJ's, two of which have both strokers and a re-gear, the third just a re-gear.. I can tell you with absolute certainty that one does not equal the other.

You may find it easier to drive down the highway without downshifting, but you will not regain the economy or control on the trail that you get with a regear.
