This is an e-mail I received from Bret Plebe - President of Friends of Fordyce. The
Sierra Chapter has (in the past) been very helpful to this group in their preservation and work to keep our access to one of the great trails in northern California accessible to the public. Bret is a VERY nice guy, and a great guy to be on the trail with.

Hi All,
The Friends of Fordyce will be hitting the trail Saturday May 29th to assess conditions. We may not get as far as we’d like considering all the snow this year but we’re going to give it a shot. We’ll meet at the Indian Springs trailhead at 9:00 am on Saturday morning. If you want to camp Saturday night be prepared. If we don’t get far anyone would have the option of returning to the trailhead.
No need to inform me if you’re coming. We won’t be doing any large work projects. This is a fun/good to see you type of run. The most work we’ll do is clearing the trail of any obstacles so we can get as far as possible.
Hope to see you there!
p.s. Bring a shovel in case we have to clear snow to continue our progress.
