For those of you who have not caught my signature. My dad passed away last Tuesday night about this time. I am doing alright, and words cannot express the thanks I have for the support I have received from all of you. Unfortunately in that time I have had to deal with a loony toon surviving spouse and my father not leaving a will. Not even 3 days had passed before she started harassing all of the kids to sign over my dad's house. Everything will go into the probate court system in California. Which I am told is less than a streamlined process. So I am facing a long and trying process in the next 8 months or longer.

I'll be around, as no one has been able to get any kind of service info from my "step mother." At this point, we will more than likely be doing something on our own without her (my dad was cremated). It's unfortunate that in the wake of my dad's passing his wife has revealed her true colors which are less than glamorous. But we will all deal with the card we have been dealt. Take care guys.

P.S. Bill, thank you. And please tell Jenn thank you for the call. I appreciate more than she will ever know.

My dad is 78, so I know it's not long for me either.

I am really sorry about your dad! I lost mine 8 years ago and I still miss him.

I am also sorry to hear about his wife. My dad went through the same thing when my grandfather died. It was very painful for him. She sold everything, even some personal things that my dad would have liked to have. It is always a sad time and some people just make it worse.
