Mechanically they aren't too horrible on that front, at least not as far as the engines are concerned: it's the PRV (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) 2.8-litre V6, which was used here in a number of vehicles. Gearboxes may be tricky, though. IIRC, the 5-speeds used whatever Renault put in the R30 saloon, which was never sold in the US. Can't remember what the automatics used off the top of my head, but I want to say they were either a Borg-Warner type 35 or TH300; it may possibly have been the same unit used by Renault in the R30 as well. I'd assume that much of the suspension would be interchangeable with the Lotus Esprit, since they share a lot of the same underpinnings.
