Fall 2015 Redbird Clean-up/Flex Memorial Run Nov 14th

most of the Ohio guys are pretty thin or fit with the exception of myself. I'm still sub 40" though
I would hardly call myself thin, but I too am still sub 40" Regardless unless I get this daylights hrs/ weekends off spot I bid on I won't be attending either. The way my schedule falls now I'd have to take two unpaid days off to go, and I just can't justify the monetary loss on top of the fact I just don't have the money VS time to get my rig ready. Even if I do get the daylights spot. It's doubtful I'll be bringing my Jeep.

Date: November 14th, 2015 (just over a week away)

Time: 9am we will meet at the front gate and go in as a group. We will begin our clean up run. We will send a group to cut the tree down on the trail that rips tail lights off and a group will work with a DNR rep to move stone to clean up a nasty muddy hole at the entrance. Depending on numbers, a group with trash bags will look for trash on the trail, and all of us will do the same for the remainder of the trail.

For information on the campground we are staying at: please click here

There is a Toy for Tots event going on at the same time that we are going to be there. Bring a toy and get a free ticket for a raffle that "The Main Event" Off-road club will be hosting. They are also serving lunch starting at 11am with the raffle at 1130am at Redbird Station, where we are camping. Also during lunch/raffle, the MidWest chapter will be presenting and dedicating a bench that LessLimited is building in memory of Aaron "FlexdXJ" Thompson. The MWC will also be making a donation to Redbird in the form of a check from the chapter and National NAXJA in memory of Aaron.

Due to the timing of lunch, we need to be at the main gate as close to 9am as we can. We'll spend two hours getting work done, go to lunch/raffle/dedication, then if need be we'll finish up the clean up or just go enjoy trails around Redbird.

We may have some others helping us with the clean up that knew Aaron from other local central Indiana clubs.

Should be a fun and profitable day.

I will also have memorial stickers available at the event for $5 each.

Thank you to all who can make it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Awesome to hear that John is building the bench.

Don't forget your waiver forms!

Will they have the gate by the tracks open this time since we are moving rock with DNR help? In the spring it was a cluster to get back to the trailhead. It's not a problem to use Trail 1 to get back there, but it would be good to know ahead of time.

I will ask about the gate. I have to email to confirm everything early next week.

I've also got emails out to local media to see if anyone wants to come along.

I also have extra forms printed off.

Highs in the 50s, lows in the mid 30s being forecasted for the weekend.

So far no "R" or "S" words being mentioned, staying dry except before we get there on Wednesday.

Any body have an extra D30 laying around? Brogan bent his. He also needs a drivers side frame end lower control arm mount. Let me know what you what & I'll pass it along.

Thanks,
JIM.

Don't forget to bring a Toy! That will get you lunch (bring a drink) and a ticket for the raffle that is happening.

If you are going and have the book of faces, there is an event created. If you can click it and let the know that you are going so they have a better idea on food.

Yea, We are out any way. I have too much work that needs to be done before we go on vacation.
I really sorry it worked out this way, but I am just slammed right now.
The pretend SeanR can entertain you instead of me.
