Cutting your own Christmas Tree???

I am wondering where to buy a tag for Christmas Tree's? I grew up going to the mountains and cutting down our tree, but this year I have not been able to track down exactly where to go to buy the tag, in order to cut one down. I am hoping to get a tree in either Clark or Cowlitz county.
If anybody has any info on this it would be nice to get some help.

Try your local forest service office. I bought mine there for $5, good in MT and ID, I am sure yours would cover WA and OR.

If you want a tree on Weyerhaeuser land, they are like $30 bucks, I think. Too spendy IMO, and Id go for the cheap state one.

go to the main headquarters for Gifford Pinchot. its on ne 112 ave. just south of sr 500. (next to WSDOT and state patrol building).
with a permit you can cut a tree just outside of Battleground (sunset falls rd.)
or somewhere by Carson.

i don't know prices or where else to cut, girl just picked up the permit today and we are going tomorrow.

Skykomish ranger station sells tags for $10 and gives you a map and area to go cut your own tree.

estacata ranger station, $5 bucks per tree. the fam and I are going tree hunting on the 16th up on goat mt. lots of food, drink, fun and more drink. great for kids too. I'm the only jeep to go. the rest of the rigs are full sized fords and such. we usually meet at 9am or so.

ditto. Nothin like doin' some wheelin and gettin a christmas tree at the same time, hell at only 5 bucks how can you go wrong?
