Wheel BS and Off-set for 285/75/r16 Tires

So what your is I have to get up at 4 am and then install them. Lol

I wish this forum had a way to directly upload pictures to post. Am I missing something or can we do this?

I’ve done a lot to my rig as of late would love to show

So what you’re really saying is I have to get up at 4 AM and install them. I guess I’ll pull up to jacks out. I have to put in an extended brake line and while I’m at it anyways. I don’t know why I do this to myself. Tomorrow I finally get new tires on. Since, I rebuilt the entire front end and have it redone the entire steering. Countless upgrades under the hood and essential replacements. Redone the entire cooling system, intake and all allnrhe exhaust drone the front pipe and Dana 44 to 2.5” magna flow, all the sensors and most of the wiring. All the brake lines. All the bushings, of course. New shocks, all new breaking components from the Knick up and new cv joints, all essential engine components replaced other than the radiator and have the timing chain in hand to do. It’s a blessing and a curse but I’ve taken it along way. Life throw me some curve balls which I had no control over but now I can finally get to where I’ll be satisfied awhile as she is..want to sell it but can’t bring myself too to it. The knowledge I’ve gained is awesome but it really was a bad decision in many respects. It’s cost a lot but I just couldn’t stop putting money into it. It’s the most satisfying thing probably in my life. My old tires are so bare. I’ll also share pictures of those is hilarious. I can’t wait till I get the new tires on. Took me a long time to get here and excited for tomorrow.

I was only talking about suspension height mods!
A good alignment needs the vehicle height set to where it's going to be.

So just for the Jeep to the tire shop and got everything mounted to tell me I didn’t have the correct shims.

Can anybody tell me what size shims I would need for soft 8’ 16x8 rims? Would auronzone have these? I just want to make sure I have the right bore size and /order the correct shims

Bore size is 83mm for the soft 8’s but he said I also have to get the bore size shim to match the xj and said call the dealership

Tonight I’m going to put on K suspensions rear shackle relocation brackets that’s going to raise the rear roughy 1”-1.5”

Those should not have posted, I was trying to ask about the sbr's and your use of stock shackles?

Sounds like tire guy is trying to get you set up for “hub centric” wheel mounting but we should be good with “lug centric” - the lug studs will keep your wheels centered and take all the load as long as the nuts are tight.

Or maybe these

no worries brother!
I’ve been meaning to PM, you and I need to clean out my inbox. Definitely plan to start paying my dues to membership once I get all my other ducks in a row.

I’ll start showing the entire build from start to current I just need to find a time to upload the pictures to a third-party upload seat, or whatever.

I got the rings and just pulled up to the tire shop and the guys closed lol. I guess we’ll try again Monday.

Also, another thing to mention is that the Jeep has been acting weird. Sometimes after sitting idle for an extended period of time and input it in gear and out the pedal on the gas it feels “sluggish” and “puttery” and only evens out after 3k rpm’s or so and also feels like it will stall when in reverse.

I replaced all the 02 sensors but am wondering if the maybe one of them have wiring issues from when I sliced them. I also need to check it for leaks my buddy has a smoke machine and said he’s help me find if there are any (I’m sure there are)

I felt the rear passenger side floor panel last night and it was scorching hot…is that normal?
