Couple runs coming up

yeah it would suck if they closed highway 4 saturday , coming back sunday would be interesting

It's down to 5% contained and over 64k acres still aways from 4 but doesn't mean it won't be close over night

Ranger station said highway 4 is open and slick rock might be a go now

Arnold was empty. Evacuated

Closed the road to the right of the steps

It was a blast.

Fixed the red heeps steering on the way home. Drove 70 mph on 99 north going home... Very happy camper.

How did you fix it jon?

horrible dead spot in the steering.

heims where not locked. So my tie rod would roll before it would react, mostly due to having hydro assist. So we locked the tie rod heims, and the trackbar heims, and the drag link heims. Also, one jam nut on the ram was loose so we cranked that down . By locked, I mean clock one heim all the way forward, and then clock the other all the way back so there is no roll at ride height.

Went from not being able to go 45 mph, to being able to go 55-60 down highway 4 and 65-70 on 99 north.

I was going like 55 on the way their on 99 south , but a scary 55 due to the bad dead spot.
more like 45mph on highway 4 going up there.

It felt like a whole different rig. It was awesome.

I noticed the tie rod roll in the parking lot after having tommy turn the wheel back and forth.

oh, It looks like I blew out my driver side front 7100. there are 5-6 seals hanging off it and a ton of oil leaking out.

I seen that tie rod roll to and was going to say something but forgot lol my bad!
Kick ass time tho we should have made Tommy's friend our camera guy haha

also, very weird - I topped off the gas tank all the way in Arnold, reading way over full, got home topped off way over full again, only 4.5 gallons...95 mile drive , 95/4.6 ~ 21 mpg.

I mean something doesn't make sense there, but the numbers don't lie.
