collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

you need to plate the outside and underside of the frame . I bet you have more cracks that meets the eye.

And use bolts not just welding . Use every factory bolt hole and add some through bolts

Aye aye Jon! There's a method to your madness! I am missing that 4th through bolt on my bumpers frame side tie in
Stoked on the new stance. Wheel on this setup maybe 1-2 more times and do a wj knuckle swap

that brace isn't holding onto much on the passenger side. if it's actually spreading some of the force from the driver side, it's not spreading it to a very big area. I could see that inner lip getting a little floppy over time if you know what I'm saying. when you add plates I'd try to integrate that brace a bit better

on a side note, that pic in post #265 is making me wish I had gone with a 2 door. what was I thinking

Thanks guys and yeah Gordon surprisingly I did feel a difference in how it handled on the street.
And I agree man I think when I plate the bottom I'll throw a small bead on the back side of that passenger plate.
I'm still waiting on my hd off-road stiffies. Just got some scrap 1/8" stuff from my local metal fab shop for 5$

Potentially buying a rock hard roll cage for $370 :)

Nice! Hit me up you end up getting it and want a hand with install. I'm looking at one of these too
