collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

That's one incredibly nice CR you have there. As you've probably already figured out, it takes a bit of getting used to riding a 2-stroke if all you've ridden is 4-strokes. All I ever raced was 2-strokes. I get all nostalgic and crap whenever I smell burnt pre-mix. :D

I went through 3 Craftsman 1/2" breaker bars trying to get a screwed up pinion nut off once (the nut got screwed up just trying to get a crush sleeve to start crushing on a d35 pinion). Finally got a cheapy Harbor Freight 25" bar for $10 and it's lasted a lot longer and taken more abuse than any of the Craftsman bars. :dunno:

Ya wobble is back. I found when the driver side tire is straight the passenger side is cockeyed outward. Not sure how it ever got that way. I'm working on getting them straight although this is a bit different then just adjusting toe. This has to be why it started pulling right. Was a little bit before we hit sr and dv. Adjusted my caster a bit too.

Ya I had a xr100 crf150 and now this cr250. I love the smell of 2 strokes too haha. And this thing hauls ass. I'm a pretty confident rider and it didn't take long to adjust. Just have the feather that throttle so I don't fall off the back lol. But cycling quick trough the gears is so awesome.. Amazing how quick they are.

:roflmao::roflmao: I did just that...5th gear wheelie at about 55mph. My butt still has scars from that one. :gee:
Glad ya got the jeep all fixed up for SF. That death wobble can be a real b#@ch.

Fun at the fun factory today as always

Built some tube doors finally :)
1.5" .060 hrew

I actually used factory xj hood latches from the jy as handles for my doors. Works perfect and no rattling whatsoever. I'll get a pic of that as I didn't make it home until dark.

Looking good

Is that an angle iron door button? You should try using the center hood latch thing. These look great man, expect to hear from me about making some for my red rig; I've got a sweet hinge idea planned out. What did you end up doing for an SRW meter for your CB? My pops got me one I need to set up.

Haha ya it's a small piece of angle iron welded to the latch. I just got some cheap Kenwood speakers to add to the doors. I think I'll add those in and leave them primered and drive to st with them on.
