collection of jeep stuff(build/blog)

gold star for sure. I am way to old to know what a charizard is BTW

Hahah! It's cool the young crowd understands

Got my hinges chopped up, drilled to 3/8", and welded bolts to them.
Now my cherokee doors are just like wranglers!
Still need to mess with the alignment they hang a little low when open but they still shut just fine.

Gordo, I think half doors would be your best bet. Speakers work best when they have enclosed spaces to resonate, as I'm sure you know. I relocated my speakers from my doors in my 89 to the kick panels, and lost a surprising amount of sound quality. Plus half doors flow really well with the body lines.

Pat if you're going to modify tube doors you may as well make your own, especially for the price of the warrior ones, though I won't be complaining if you need someone to help you get rid of the rear set of doors (hint hint). Hardest part is the latching mechanism, which I've seen people do things from fence latches to tj/jk latches like Ericsxj did.

I'm still in the midst of lots of research. And I'm not sure what you mean but rear doors  what are those?? Lol

No I meant I know what a charizard is, but I shouldn't because Im older. It makes me feel weird. lol. I had younger brothers who were into pikeman years ago in the nineties

Man that looks good with no doors. You should run doorless in Reno.

I will be doorless on the trail and I'll pop em back on if I drive into reno with the jeep. Otherwise I'll be rollin around in a 02 2500 Suburban with the 8.1L which sees similar milage to the brick on wheels lol

Today I flushed out the power steering fluid and swapped to Royal Purple. I also replaced the return fitting and line and the high pressure line. I drill out the high pressure orifice on the PS pump from 7/64 to 1/8" and holy crap what a great improvement. I would recommend not going larger than 1/64 though as that is a big difference in hydraulic systems.

All in all super stoked on my steering now.
Just need to install my extended rear bump stop I made and I'm all set for reno!

Had a blast in reno!
Really missing it right about now...

Got my fenders a massage now I just need to weld the pinch seam back together..

Lost my aux fan so I'm shopping around for another. If anybody has a 97+ one let me know.
I'm going to be buying either a hesco or flow kooler water pump.

I'm ready to wheel again soon... Work sucks lol

Little late on the update.. I ended up going to the hospital at 4 am Sunday morning after Tim's because I had a chunk of something caught in my eye. Got it scraped out and it scratched my lens.
Saturday Tim welded up my passenger side of my HD offroad stiffies. He did a killer job as alway.

Still need to do the other side. So for now I have a half stiffy

I've since primered then sprayed Bondo undercoating on top! Shit works really well!

Sorry to hear about your eye man. That's a big fear of mine as far as metal fabrication goes. Glad it wasn't worse!

Jeeps is lookin good! (As usual)

Man you almost screwed up your eye when we were pulling your tranny too. And that was WITH safety glasses on. Your eyes must be magnetic or something...
