Me and my brother are planning on hitting the Cliffs this Sunday, we will most likely be running the milder trails, depending on how the trails are. As of now it is gonna be 2 XJs and a Yj. Anyone is welcome to come along.

Umm....it has been raining really hard....on top of the frozen (well it was frozen) ground.

the Cliffs is muddy enough when dry.

take a winch, or two.

Ive got a Warn M8000, and one of the other Jeep that is possibly going has the same. I am going to call them on Saturday to see how the normaly easy trails are.

Well, wish us luck, so far there will be 2Xjs, 2Yjs, and possibly a Tj. Looks like we will have two winches. If you want to join up we will be on channel 16.

Well the trails were good, if you like a lot of mud. I ended up with some pretty major carnage. I went up this hill and didn't make it on my first attempt, so I go to back down and couldnt keep it slow enough. (My transfer case has no Low). I ended up hitting a tree goin pretty fast. My tailgate is smashed all the way in, the glass is broke, my tailight is toast and my sidefender is tweaked. So after that happened I figured what the hell Ill just keep wheeling. Then about 10 minutes later, I was coming down a hill, and my steering box caught on something and ripped out. I managed to get it down the hill without hittin any trees (thanks to all the rutts) After about three hours we got it off the trail using pipes i the rims to manually turn the tires. That was quite interesting. Luckily a guy in our group had a trailer. And the part that pisses me off most is my brother set his toolbox on my hood and scratched the hell out of it. I will get some pictures up tommorow. I guess that is what I get for going on the hard trails with really muddy conditions. Overall it was a good time and i think I learned a lot. I just got to get a steering box put in tommorow so I can go to school on Tuesday.

Also if anybody has a tailgate or tailight for a 1998 Cherokee let me know.

:wow:

If teh gate damage does not include outer frame damage, you could just pound it straight and put a window in it. Figure you're going to hit it again anyway, so why waste good sheetmetal ;)

Pound out fiberglass?? I want to watch that.....:roflmao:

I will get pictures up this afternoon. As for other damage, a guy in or group with a Yj flopped on his side (I didnt get to see it though). He didnt even care he just flipped it back over and kept on going. My brother also bent his bumper. I made my day 1000 times better though. I went to the U pull it yard this morning to get a steering box, and ended up finding a 2001 30th Aniv. Edition that had been lifted. (lift gone exept rear AAL) I got a Rustys Trac Bar conversion with the heavy duty mount, and a steering box brace for $5. I also picked up the box for $28.
I will get the pics up soon.
