I can also inform you that the Eaton SC you have will not tolerate fuel on the rotors.
It's funny you should say that, because I posed that very same concern to Rick. He told me not to worry because it will take allot of miles before my unit sees failure and my Jeep will, most likely, be sold by then.... I'm guessing, so some other sap will inherit my problems. Classy !!!
Have you mentioned how much you are willing to pay?
The issue isn't how much I'm willing to pay, but rather what I was promised; here's a brief snippet:
11-17-2009 - Rick "
I am developing a fuel and ignition package that will have a computer and injector to compliment your unit. A weak point in my earlier endeavors. It is undergoing final testing now. It will be part of my new system coming out soon. It will also retrofit with some simple adaptation to your kit."
08-06-2010 - He has all the pieces with more product coming in 2 weeks. He said he will sell me the
piggyback + fuel injector + instructions for under $500 which is close to his cost.
03-15-2011 - Everything's finally resolved. One unit's fully complete and it's installed in his 97. He already drove all the way to CA without issues. He's expecting another complete unit from sprintex soon (2 weeks?). He might possibly sell me the electronics off that one otherwise I'll have to wait until he gets more.
06-15-2011 – Dave accuses me of being "confused"... that somehow my previous conversations with Rick didn't exist.
Look, I wouldn't have a problem if Rick couldn't help me, but I would prefer if he didn't lead me on for nearly 2 years. I would also prefer if he stopped hiding behind others to tell me, man to man, that he's unwilling and/or incapable of helping me. I had another shop willing to build my tune well before my dealings with this guy, but I brushed them off because I trusted Rick was a man of his word. I figured whose better to help me sort out my Rick Rimmer supercharger than Rick Rimmer himself. During the wait, my mechanic, I kid you not, died (old age), and I was forced to scramble to find his son so I could recover my parts... but even afterwards, Rick kept the promises coming. I trusted he would come through... only to have you come along and accuse me of somehow being "confused" about everything.
I can say with great certainty that I'm not confused. My experiences with Rick and you were atrocious; I want people to know what they're getting into when they buy anything from you guys. Grandiose promises that fizzle coupled with apathetic customer support seem standard fair. BTW, I'm sorry, if you think I'm sniping at your thread, but that's what happens when people think they can @#%! with me and get away with it.
