Well I broke her in good. As all locals know there is no mud like the Cliffs mud.
About 5 of us showed up at 8:30 in the upper parking lot. As we were unloading the jeeps we see a tj with street tires driving across the creek. Some one should have warned them!!!
Needles to say I had passengers for the rest of the day.
I could go on and on about all of the things that happened , but instead Ill just say that we didnt get out of the parking lot untill 9:00 pm.

My rig did well except the relayes on the passenger side got soaked and the jeep would not stay running. I finally figured it out and dried them out. After that she ran like a champ.

Here a couple pics of the aftermath. And Ill get some of the action shots later when BP gets them posted.

The girl sitting in my rig was the nubee. Her husband and her road with me all day. Poor saps........

It was a great time.

I spent all today cleaning my junk up so I could do a little greasing....

Damn, the mud pit on the top side of 1 up there looks especially deep.

You'll be cleaning that mud out of your rig for about the next 2 years I sh!t you not!!! Make sure you clean up/out your alternator and high power back spray your radiator.

What was the Wrangler jockey thinking? Obviously he/she wasn't. Up there by themselves?

Oh yea they were there by themselves. I thought to myself that one of the girls at the shack should have warned them ,but then agian....

Man how did that TJ even make it that far. Its a proud day when you have made it all the way to hell and back, wow.:D That mud looks crazy.

The mud was insane. I dont think the couple will be back to the Cliffs for some time.LOL
I really like having the doors off. Makes getting in and out really easy. But watch out for whipping branches.

I think I am going back out saturday. Its my birthday and my wife never knows what to get me so Ill tell her an entry fee..

The Cliffs = mud

therefore
The Cliffs = suck

any questions?

I have never been before, however I hear its a pretty good time, all mud aside.

However, everyone is always bitching about that mud, so I guess thats part of why I haven't made it up there yet.

yeh, bad excuse, i know.

"all mud aside"?
The Cliffs would be a big gaping black hole in the universe if all mud was put aside.

I love to play in the mud but that shit looks like clay almost. That is a pain to wash off. If I travel that far for an off road park there had better be more than mud. I have plenty around here.

a little mud is fun, flatnasty mud was OK, still had some traction because of all that rock in it.

That mud looks very unhappy.
the kind of mud that you get stuck in on a flat surface.

I lived in Tucson for 8 years. I truley miss it. I had 2 bronco's,72 & 74 rock crawlers and my 2000 TJ. Rinse them off and that was that. I moved back to Illinois, and the 1st time I decide to go wheeling, I take the 2000 TJ. The TJ burnt down in my garage due to a recall on the intake "shroud". All most cost me my family. She started to burn in my garage. Thank GOD for a alarm grounding out from burnt wiring. I'm reluctant to wheel my 98 XJ in deep mud. :flame:

These guy's were probably thinking the same.

Neither guy had lockers and not alot of recovery gear. I tried helping as much as I could but our group just wanted to get around them. Such nice looking rigs , to bad the drivers didnt know better.

I asked if they had ever herd of NAXJA? They just looked at me with a shocked look on ther face. I took it as a no. hopefully they check us out. They could use the help.
