Barnwell in November?

I should be there before 5:00pm... I'll be at the Xterra Camp if it's not still labeled on the maps then it's right at the bottom of Angry Jeep trail :) You can take Angry Jeep trail down (bit steep at end if loaded up with loose gear) or just take perimeter road all the way to the campsite.

Swamprat is correct it looks like rain :( Does anyone that is coming have a big tarp they can bring? Might be nice to tie it up to sit under if raining in the evenings.

I will probably be getting there Friday morning and have to leave Saturday night.
on a side note does anybody need a front factory skid? free to someone or its going to the scrap yard

OK weather might not be nice but we can still make the most of it.

Maybe firewood if you have any... can't cut there and it's usually pretty scarce.

Let's say CB ch 10 if you need to find us.

OK I'll admit it... I'm old and a woosey :) I have been watching the weather and it could be nasty this weekend. Cold and wet... either is a PIA but combined very nasty.
Barnwell is tough when muddy even with good vehicles and tires... Camping loses a lot of the fun in the rain.
That said I would be willing to postpone this weekend. For Blenny, Justin and I it's a good distance to drive if we damage anything. Rich is now a grandpa and will not be able to come as he will be with his new grandson. Blenny is Moteling it because of his little son (SMART CHOICE) I am not sure who plans on going from Dallas area.

I absolutly will still go if anyone still is... I'm just putting it out there because in the past members have been upset and left early because of cold and rain.

Please post if still going or if willing to postpone.

I would absolutely support moving this, it was a bad weekend for me to begin with but I want to go out and play. it's a long drive for me and I really only get one day off wheeling in. but like Roger if other people are going I'll be there

I would be fine moving it. I don't know if I would be able to go another time though. It is quite a drive for me too. Not as far as Benny though. This cold front should be good for the ducks down on the coast so I wouldn't be sad if my plans changed to duck hunting instead of camping.

I'm for postoning it, I don't know if I'll make the new date. I just think it would be better if it were drier, you know cause I'm 2wd and on street tires. I don't want to be that guy that needs to be hauled up every trail. Plus I really can use my time off from work to haul my xj up here and see if it will work as a daily while my mj is getting an new engine.

OK, so it looks like the guys that were going are OK with postponing. I will not guess a future date but expect maybe after the Holidays? That way most of us can plan ahead and the ones with plans for the Holidays can make it. It may be cold but at least we can try and plan a dry weekend.

Sorry if this is an inconvience but I think it's for the better.

Besides the next one we can meet and greet the new BOD :)
