Badlands trip?

I will have a trailer and a tow rig.
we'll make it happen one way or another Sean.

I will let Tater and Rich know.

BOB

Nice I wanna see Sean's Rig in action!

good point Sean...and welcome aboard.
if your not street legal, BL campground makes more sense.[ /QUOTE]
I will find a way to stay at Summers.
I will not miss a MWC campfire!
I don't plate mine anymore 'cause I don't drive it on the road, at all.
I have no headlights either.
Some nice person who tows there street-able rig to Attica, could tow my junk to the BL.....

Well, I'm hoping to have a truck and trailer within the next month (anyone want to sell a Tahoe?), so in that case we could put yours on my trailer and someone can drive my XJ.

Or I can bring one of the half dozen IN license plates I have and we'll throw that on yours for the short trip.

if you had the xtrm xj plate you could just use it......

This is gonna be a good trip me thinks.

What month are we talking about... I saw 24-25 or something. But when?

I still have to save for camp fees and badlands fees. Plus I may be bringing two waggies!

this is april 24th and 25th. I read the rules of the camp, and i cant figure out exactly how it works. It looks like a campsite it $16 for 2 adults and up to 2 children, every addition adult after that is $8. BUT....they have rates for overnight guests, at $5 per adult. I'm confused.

It does look like we can have more than 2 vehicles per campsite tho. Its just that only two can be parked at the campsite, any others have to be in the parking lot.

I have a plate, I have two, one from Florida and one from IL.
They are all expired :D
I have insurance also, I just don't have head lights.
I could by them though.

I wouldn't think you would need headlights during the day though.

Just rig up some driving lights like Dan did. Heck, even Mac has lights and signals so he could drive around Moab.

FYI - if you ever plan on wheeling Redbird, you will need to be plated and insured. Not necessarily street legal, but either plated or registered as an OHV in IN.

worst case I can haul mine to the badlands from the camp ground. Mine looks street legal - all lights work, etc. Though I haven't had it past 35mph so no idea how it handles at any kind of speed.

Also if you are a first time camper at the summers - they have a coupon for 10% off first night - its under the coupon section.

SWEET! Coupons are amazing. Its like free money......except you have to spend money to get it...........

i too have an indiana plate...or we could just have a few guys leave early, and check for cops. then the non street legal guys can just come bustin out of the campgrounds like bats outta hell lol

i wanna camp at this one too...gotta find me a new tent lol

OK I am understanding this thread a lil better now! WTF is summers LMAO! Looks like a google search is in order. I was wondering why everyone was having a problem with the 300 meter drive to badlands from the campground!.

Reason: screen is messing up so I couldn't read everything for every post. I finally sat down and played with the resolution and now i can see! WOO HOO!

Summers Carrol is another campground in Attica. It's about 5 miles(if that) out of town and much nicer than where we were at for WF.

I might be talked into this, but Badlands 2 months straight???? I think the badlands cg is just as good as summers now that it has a bath house.

That bath house leaves something to be desired.:gag:

ive heard it does, but ive only been in Feb/March and its been muddy there. but ive heard in the summer it gets extremely dusty, but i dunno about it
