Badlands/Attica Memorial Day weekend

Hey nice pics there Ed heres just the few that i got with a little help from a friend of mine behind the camera.

Here's a poser shot on the RTI ramp

This here is a Bone stock YJ just sliding over every rock that got in his way. Good thing for T-case/Trans.Skids and Gas Skids.

This Ram was on 39's with 14 bolt Axles and Dovetailed bed.

How bout a 2" Lifted wrangler trying his hand at that same Rock face.

It was a fun day, didnt break anything, but started this morning with a dead battery. I think the angles of the day messed with the chemicals inside it. Oh well time for a new one.

lol - Jamie was pretty cool (stock TJ), and was surprised how much it could do with even stock AT tires. Course I had to tug em a few times, and the TJ with 2" of lift - lol, gotta rub that into them.

Sounds like all these guys would be willing for a Cliffs run in the near future, both TJs, the rubi - went it gets fixed, and the fullsize Ram. I'll keep ya updated. I was going to start tearing my front end apart, but may hold off for awhile if there is chance for a run there.

So i'm gonna go ahead and assume that the second pic down is where you got so muddy. Looks like that area had alot of good mud pits! Even the 2" TJ (sorry i got those named wrong) got in a good spot to get buried.

BTW Those Wagons look awesome both sitting there all flexed out.

And the last pic of the Ram is hilarious as well. You ever have those moments when something is about to happen and you think to yourself "i can see it happening........." and sure enough a few seconds later it does. Thats what i was thinking right before he landed on that rock with the Dshaft.LOL
And there i am taking a peak to confirm what i had hoped wouldnt happen.

Yep that be the muddy spot - the TJ with the 2" lift and 32s - that was Frank (darker longer hair), and the completely stock TJ was Jamie (with the kilt). First time meeting them - pretty cool guys. The one time in that mud hole when the slightly larger TJ got stock I had about 20' rooster tails yankin him out. I should have brought the PW over to the RTI ramp - I believe it is suppose to score like a 671 or something with the sway bar disconnected.

lol - I still think my XJ is leaning to the passenger side. I was unloading it today, and still seems to be squatting - I wonder if that leaf pack is startin to sag?

I had a similar situation with the XJ before you guys came back over by Purgatory - got a larger rock stuck under my t-case and was actually pushing it upwards. No breakage - course did notice a small wet spot on my rear pinion seal now :banghead:

Hey TheEddie, was that yours at the wash rack airin up at the end of the day???? We will all have to hook up and make a trip one day - me, Phil, and Jeepguy were talking about the Cliffs next time since it closer for most of us.

TheEddie, i remember seeing two white XJ's that would be similar to yours but didnt get any response when i waved so i didnt think it was you. If you were there, did you have a green 2 dr. with you cause that one looked the closest to yours. I think you might have followed us in past McD's on the road in the morning. Mine was on a trailer so my buddy and i could split gas prices. Cause he did a little ATVing also. Like 92XJT said, we could hook up and run the Cliffs some weekend.
Phil, I do remember following your trailered XJ into town. The guy airing up was me, and I was with a green 2dr. (92XJT you talked to him for a bit) I must have missed you Phil or else I would have waved. We were so close but yet so far, haha. I lead a couple yellow TJs on 33s for part of the day but ended up heading home early due to my buddy scoring some rocker damage due to him ignoring my spotting.. :twak: We shouldnt definetly try to hook up again.

I'll be there on July 5th and 6th with my club, Jeeps Gone Wild (we have a thread for every event in the Greal Lakes section of Jeepforum.com)

lol - hopefully our next gathering will be more organized, so we can all wheel together...... I had a list of rigs going on Friday when I went down, but couldn't find it Saturday. Sorry to all those I missed, which turns out to be most of ya. The yellow TJs we looked for too, thought they were going down Friday night or something. July 5th I am out - working those days.

Yeah i do remember seeing you TheEddie, but it was on our way out of the trails. Just before we all left.

Next time maybe a little bit more organized or something.

I'll check my schedule and see about the fourth of July weekend. But it sounds good so far. We'll have to also see how bad Gas $ goes up or down! Thats also a factor.

One thing i learned this trip is MAN DO I NEED SKIDS!!!!! Nothing broke or punctured, but i would feel soooooooo much better if i did!
