Anyone in the Riverside/Corona area willing to help install SYE?

Hey everyone, so I recently bought my second XJ, and I wanted to go a little more all out this time around, so I purchased a RC 4.5" LA Kit off of fleabay that came with a telescoping drive shaft and SYE, but I am not very handy when it comes to taking things, like the transfer case, apart. So, I was seeing if anyone with experience doing SYEs would like to come help out and install my SYE for me in exchange for food, beer/soda, and gas money? Please PM me and I can send you my cell # to discuss in more detail. I am not able to come to you because my XJ currently has no rear suspension. Thanks in advance!

When?

Did the SYE come with instructions? It's REALLY easy to do. Seriously, the hardest part about the whole thing is removing the T-case (if you go that route.)....

You will need some snap ring pliers.

I might be available this weekend.....

It did come with instructions, but it says to remove the whole T case from the XJ. I am available this whole weekend, so any time that works for you will work for me.

I've installed one while the transfer case was in the jeep and one while it was out of the jeep.
a VERY good set of snap ring pliers its the most important thing, and also make sure the oil pump line is properly se
Our is pretty straight forward.

SYE is ridiculously easy. I did it with the t-case in the Jeep and found the whole thing to be really straight forward. As other have said, a good set of lockring pliers are key to making the job easy. I'd come help, but I have to move this weekend. Lookup a DIY and try it yourself, it's really easy.

If you want to pull it and drop it by my work I can do it in about 20 mins...

Justin

If you could do that for me, that would be awesome. Thank you for offering Justin, I'll text you later today to figure out a day I can bring it in.

its not that complex, once you get the mainshaft out, lay it on a towel, and lay out each piece like an exploded diagram

Gonna need snap ring and lock ring pliers

I sent you a pm yesterday offering to help, I don't know if you got it. If you check YouTube Advanced Adapters has a very good video which can help even if it's another brand.

Sorry, I did not see it until just now. I tried getting the t case out when I got home from work tonight to bring it to Justin tomorrow and long story short, I tried lifting the rear first since it should have been easy, but RC didn't include the rear extended shackles that was supposed to be included in the kit and now I have to wait for them to send them to me and I ran out of jacks and jack stands because of that and couldn't get the t case out. :banghead:

So, if anyone is willing to come help out this weekend, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a friend that should hopefully be bringing another jack and jack stands tomorrow night or Saturday morning. Please let me know and I will throw some gas $ and food your way.
