Any Non religious people here?

I'd think all creationists would love fiction :dunno: ???

Just as much as all the evolutionists who created it...

evolutionist? Really?

For all of you who deny evolution as a probable theory:

Have you ever seen monkeys in a cage?
Have you ever seen humans in a cage?
Ever notice any behavioural similarities?

Have you ever noticed infant primate behaviour?
Ever compare that to human infant behaviour?

Have you ever had a dog? Ever notice that they know when they have done something wrong, but don't have the impulse control to restrain themselves? Ever notice your children do the same thing?

How does one explain the existance of evidence of species that no longer exist? How does one explain the fossil evidence that other human-like species existed, but don't any more?

How can you possibly deny all of the evidence that is right in front of your eyes every day of your life on this planet in favor of a theory that is unlikely, unprovable, physically impossible, contested by hard factual evidence, and contrary to the other just as unlikely, unprovable, physically impossible therories that people believe just as feverantly?

People at the core are animals.

Are monkeys made in god's image too?

God made all the fossils at the time he created the Earth.

I'm not even going to venture into this debate. It's as bad as if not worse than debating religion. :D Scientists on both sides can point to stacks of evidence that says their side is right and the other side has been disproved by such and such.

I did recently watch an interesting video titled "The Privileged Planet" that I rented from Netflix. It wasn't putting forth biblical creation, it did put forth intelligent design using the sheer impossibility of a lot of factors just from our Earth and it's placement in the universe. We're in a very narrow band of habitable area surrounding our sun. ANy further, and we get too cold, too close and we're too hot. The moon is abnormally large for our planet at roughly 25% of the Earth, thusly providing enough gravitational pull to stabilize our axis and allow for the temperate climate we enjoy. The Earth is just the right size with a crust just thick enough to allow plate tectonics, liquid iron flowing under the surface etc, providing the magnetic field that shields us from a lot of the solar winds that would strip away our atmosphere if we were smaller. It goes on for about an hour about all the factors that had to be just right in order to support complex life, and how unlikely it all was to just happen.

They also go into how our distance from the sun and moon, the sizes thereof is perfect to allow for eclipses, which are about the only time they can study he corona around the sun to learn of it's composition. How it all played perfect for us to have a transparent atmosphere, thereby allowing us to see what's out there in the first place., and how all of it seems to point directly to a plan and a design. However, like I said, they don't say it was the Christian God who did it, and they don't even care about evolution. This just focuses on our planet's mere existence and placement to make the argument for ID.

Oh yeah, we've seen species go extinct without turning into something else. Sounds like a fairly logical explanation for fossils of non-existent species, right?

Evolution is every bit as unlikely and unprovable. Ask yourself how likely is it that my bodt would've developed a circulatory system so complex, on accident. Try cooking some spaghetti and then toss it around in a bowl until all the ends are touching. Let me know how that works out for you.

That kind of reminds me of that theory that you could get an infinite amount of monkeys hitting keys on their type writer and eventually at least one of them would type out Romeo and Juliet.

I suppose given enough time, almost anything is possible.

We've never been to the Moon so I don't know why you care about it.

The Apollo landings were filmed on a soundstage on Mars. It's all a huge government hoax.

Uh huh. I can't debate this with you if you don't acknowledge that evolution does not suggest dumping parts in a bowl and expecting a fully functioning being to emerge. Religions suggest that a god or gods did that, science suggests no such thing.

If god created those species the day after man, how do we not have record of interaction with them? How did they exist 350 million years before any fossil evidence of mankind if gods holy word says it was a day?

did you know that DOG spelled backwards is GOD? what if the tail chased the dog. Does god have a tail? I just blew my own mind.
I'm a Dyslexic Atheist..I don't believe in DOG.

Don't need to, I've read the Book of Mormon and have a testimony of it. As I said before. If you want to learn more about the something, shouldn't you go to the source?

Wow...you just nailed the problem with all religions... Blind faith.

How can you believe in something if you don't check it out from an outside source?

I'm sure David Coresh(SP) tried to keep his followers in line by telling them that everything else written was false too.

It scares me that people can believe anything without checking it out thoroughly from all angles. Especially something as significant as God.
