About Brewfest...

We've enjoyed hosting this get-together for the past 9 years, and I know many of you have been looking forward to this year's.

As some of you may know, we lost Cindy's mom at the beginning of July. Cindy had a rough time with that, and unfortunately what took her mind off it was another family crisis happening in Korea. That has now been resolved in a fairly good way, but we just haven't had time to even think about Brewfest.

It's possible we may still put something together for early/mid September, but more likely that Brewfest X will be next year.

Anybody that happens to be in the Chicago area is still welcome to stop in for a homebrew, pretty much any time.

John, I'm happy/relieved that that family issue has been resolved (successfully?) and that things are starting to look up! I had a great time visiting you and will do my best to try and make it to the next Brewfest, whenever it may be...

On a side note, I'm wondering if you have any ideas on building an efficient bottle rack as the first big batch of mead will require ~30 750mL bottles and I'm planning to start another batch as soon as that one is bottled!

The family crisis in Korea was supposed to be resolved today, just found out last night that it will be a couple more weeks. Will make for a good campfire story someday, but now it means no Brewfest this year, as Cindy will be stressed out until things are finally resolved.
