There is Davis Creek Pond right across from our site but it is literally just that... a pond. Doubt there is any fish in that thing worth catching and if you did you definitely don't want to eat them. Apparently that pond has some sort of bug in it that causes rashes.

Awesome thanks! Thank God I have a teenager to carry all the camping stuff :roflmao:

CB Channel for this event is 4. We will go to channel 5 as an alternate if needed.

Friday:
Listed departure time is 3pm but we may wait a little bit as there may be some members needing help (driveshaft installation, etc) On our way back from Prison Hill we will be driving through Carson City. Gas is cheaper there (+ .35 debit card fee) and there are stores if you wish to pick up supplies.

Saturday:
Departure time 8:00 - 8:30 am. We will be driving into Reno, then East on I-80 to Sparks, then North on Pyramid Highway. We will be stopping at the corner of Eagle Canyon Dr. and staging at the Chevron gas station on the right. There is a Save Mart grocery store and a Port of Subs (opens at 9am) to buy lunch for the day or other supplies. Goal is to depart staging area at 9:30am. (Alan's group to Billy Bobs might be staging at the 7-11 across the street. Alan will let us know...)

Sat Evening:
BBQ and Meet & Greet at 4WP in Sparks is a go. I posted 5pm but this will depend on what time we get off the trail and back to town. A little later is okay too. We have the parking lot to ourselves and can use the RTI ramp and rock crawling course.

Sunday:
Plan is to depart campground at 8:00am. We will head towards Lockwood on I-80 after stopping for gas and other supplies. Depending on need we can try and find a grocery store, otherwise grab a lunch at the gas station. Bronco Canyon is also a full day trail ride.

Depending on the time we get off the trail, we can head over to Virginia City to look around, have dinner, or whatever. This is optional.

Other tips: Weather forecast is calling for lots of sun and temps in the mid-80's. We will be in the desert and often times away from shade. Bring water and sunscreen. Bug repellant might be wise as well, especially for Bronco Canyon.

Also don't forget to bring your camera!

I'm not going to be able to make it this year.

Davis creek off 395

This is the worst thing that could have happened. The j:smsoap:eep is not ready to go.

TC is good but the heap started spilling coolant out the passengers side of the radiator. I will do a pressure test tomorrow to see where it is coming from but it looks like I am out.

With this newest development I am not feeling it. New axels front and rear, new lockers front and rear (means new hook ups to a new compressor) new steering linkage that feels a little loose. I would like to have a little time to dial these things in and now the coolant spilling out. :firedevil

I do want to run some Reno trails but it won't be this weekend.

thats totally understandable. you tried your best skipper!

Put some balance beads in my 35s yesterday and now has a shimmy and bad balance vibes. Pretty bummed on that.. Know of a good tire place in NV for a road force balance?

Might do that tomorrow as I'll be there around noon

P.S. Real sorry to hear that skipper.. :/

I had Les Schawb in Gardnerville mount and balance my 33's. I believe they can balance 35's. They're about 30-40 min south of the camp ground on the south end of Gardnerville right by the Wal-Mart.

That's a serious bummer Tim. I got to think we could figure the steering out at the camp. Check the upper hose clamp on the passenger side. There is also drain plug near the bottom of the radiator end on the passenger.

I am 100% down to wrench on it for 4 hours straight at camp and I move fast. We can get a lot done. I'd move to have you there Tim.
