31's with 3.07's

I absolutely hated the 31" 3.07 combination when I tried it 10 years ago on a '93 5-speed XJ Sport, up here in mountain country. I felt like I had to slip the clutch to get rolling at intersections, etc. Regearing to 4.10s definitely brought the "Sport" back into the driving experience, and improved low-range crawling dramatically.

That make cence,... someone at say 2,000 feet or sea level could put up with taller tires a lot easer (they make more power at sea level) then at 7,000 feet where i live!:sunshine::shiver:

31's and 3.07s is fairly tolerable. 33's and 3.07s is really bogging you down. I had 33's on my 91' 4.0L YJ about 6 years ago.
Not really, I can chirp the tires between 1st and 2nd. It'll get up and go. I'm surprised cause all i hear about is ppl talkin about how it bogs down soo bad, I can do 65 in 5th without having to downshift.

me too with the ones I have now....

sorry if I mentioned something some one else already did, I've got 20K on my BFG KM's and couldn't be happier. But I have 3.54 and would kill for 4.11, or even better 4.56. Yeah it works, but it sucks. You can do it, but.....
