2JZGTE swap this summer...

Alright. Preparing for the final push of stage 2 of the build. Getting ready to complete the exhaust system, the OBDII conversion, the transmission cooler lines, the wheel spacers, and the fan shroud arrangement.

Time to get this bitch 49-state legal.

Why am I already thinking about swapping in the new Jeep diesel and putting a variable vane turbo on it? I just want to turn the pressure up to like 80psi. My wife is going to bury me.

the spoiler is from a Nissan Terrano R50, a RHD version of Infinity QX4 =)

ok i retract my previous statement

Thanks, haha. When this part of the project is over, I'm gonna try to condense it all down to the important stuff. Armor will get it's own thread, and I probably won't post the suspension stuff, since that has been done many-a-time.

Integrated armor, high power, UAV/BOV. I want it to grab the environment by the neck and beat the F*^K out of it...then just keep dishing it out. F*&K zombies.

Honestly the 2J (phase 1 of the build) was put in to provide reliable power to support the extra weight and allow the Jeep to stay agile.

oh. sounds good.

That looks great! Nice job. A factory option for that motor would be nice, it's always nice to have a turbo to tune. Not much power options for stock N/A motors unless you have an LS.

Thanks! Working on swapping out the fuel rail now. Pictures soon.

Also, if you want a kit for your N/A 4.0, I think Bryson of Boostwerks might be one of the go to guys. Other than looking clean as OEM, there is nothing OEM about that powertrain/trans in this Jeep, lol.

J-Spec OBD1 conversion to US-Spec OBDII conversion:

New injectors are bolted in, but I'm waiting for the proper injector plugs to continue. Unexpected set back. This pic is actually from before I swapped the rail. USDM injectors have purple plastic.

Wait, they don't like the 2JZGTE swap? Or the OBDII swap? :(

Jeep is a 96. I can't go backward, they said. Fortunately for me the engine exists in an OBDII variant... being the USDM 96-98 Supra. I will win.

texas is gay like that too? thought that was a CA thing.
looks good. so you gotta just swap the harness, sensors, and ecu?
