2JZGTE swap this summer...

If you can man give me a call or txt @ 760 490 2530. I'll help you with what I know from my expeirence in the 2jz crowd.

But hey your in Austin Texas, you have the 2nd fastest supra for the standing Texas mile at your back door. 239mph or something like that!

I was gonna recommend you run a 2jz-ge head gasket. The .3mm one. With a Gte bottom end & a .3mm head gasket that would put you around 9.1-9.2:1.
Thats what I had in my boosted IS3 & she held 603whp with no head gasket failure. Had it that way for 2 years.

haha, ya I was as$ backwards there lol.

Are you planning on running the GTE (1.3mm) head gasket or the .3mm(ge) head gasket. If you aren't shooting for 500+ horsepower then the GE head gasket will be a great upgrade. Increase compression to 9.2-9.3:1 & make more power down low from the added compression.

I wasn't, but I'll consider it after the swap is complete, pending the dyno results. It is also not looking like I'll be able to use those sprags unfortunately. They seem to be specifically for the A650e, not the A340e. Oh well.

He can make whatever is needed though. That was my point, he waits till he has 5+ customers & then gets them made.
Its worth a shot to talk to him directly & see what he can make for you.

Not much at all... lol. Besides, the power is just to move the weight I'll be adding.

Mine is still basically stock motor-wise. With the exception of exhaust and a filter i haven't done anything to it. I've added 400+ lbs of armor and 32" tires and its still on stock gears for now. Still has plenty of go. That thing is gonna haul balls! :D

This looks like an awesome build! I can't wait to see the end result.... oh and by the way, Good luck on Calc II

Thanks. Working on it now, in fact. I am trying to get a jump on this week's work, and am planning to build the manifold this weekend.

Wagoneer header panel is on! :)
