If we had that kind of wheeling out here I would suspect it would be outlawed quickly. Got to love the South.

Sounds like I wont be lonely during the trip to the Con. If any of the Reno guys want to help me out with the runs up there or at least tell me where to go. I would appreciate it. :wave1:

What kind of runs are you looking at in reno??? Long runs or short and sweet?

Steve loop is a good 3 hrs if you dont have a sh!t load of rigs with you. That is start to finish.

heres bronco:

When i went it was 2 in the morning on a rescue mission. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...42,-119.650984&spn=0.021621,0.041628&t=h&z=15
thats a general idea of the trail! I was with a fellow NAXJA member when we ran it. SpenceXJ. He was on 33's and prob 5.5 inches of lift. open/open. He made it through with a few helpful tugs. Another guy we were with was on 32's i believe locked front/rear (if i can remember) and he made it through fine. I would say 33's min and a locker would be helpful! Most of the trail is dirt road to get into Bronco Canyon. Once you get into the Canyon, its prob 1/2 a mile of rocks.

There is also moonrocks which im sure you guys know about

There is also a place called Bud Canyon that I have been on. Its a short little canyon run, would be great for those that get to Reno early.
Coordinates:
Start - N39 33.015 W119 52.411
3rd waterfall - N39 33.332 W119 52.561 (the hardest part of the trail. You wont make it up unless you are locked or winched from what i could tell)

Steves Loop is another trail:

never been on it, so i have no idea where it starts or ends?

Im sure JoseJalapeno will chime in!
Hope this helps

I am down for what ever. I have never run Bronco so that sound like it
would be a must for me. We could also do a long day & run both trails
in the same day?

I am 100% down for bronco, or steves loop.

But hey Joe we gotta start doing Sierra fest every year man, it was too fun last year lol

I am good with that! Just a tad bit less Jack n Coke for me this year. :skull2:

i think a seirra fest thru the con would be rad. like run the con(3 days???) then stop in tahoe and party for a night , come back down fifty and run strawberry to 88 then run deervalley from 88 down to 4, then a nightrun on slickrock, and whatever other trails are out there on 4 area that we feel like...

dude those reno trails look fun...

Captain Nemo got me started doing his idea of a "Mini Sierra Fest "a few years back.
Hiway 4 to 88 to 50.
Slickrock to Deervalley to Strawberry to Barrett.
If early in season and Barrett is not open, we change it up a bit.
Slickrock to Deervalley to Strawberry to the Rubicon.
Small groups of modifed rigs has been the norm.
For a large, diverse group of rigs, the Rubicon should be a 'stand alone' run and have
minimum requirements enforced for safety, enjoyment and patience of all involved.

This all sounds fun. Im down for whatever, whenever. just let me know the dates.

Lodi Jim, havent seen ya in a while. i like the hwy to barret lake idea.
the pirates arent the only ones that drink til 3am when they go wheeling...

also i agree the con is a stand alone run. i dont know why i said that. itd be great if we had a like 10 days to run everything...

That would be fun Jim. Your right it sounds like the run to the Con is going to be a decent size group and would need to be a stand alone run.

Don't think I will make Barrett. I don't think it usually opens until late July to August due to the snow smelt
