Zips My 88 Heep DD

I hate autos, the AW4 in the XJ/MJ is one of the few I'll actually run. You have to do really stupid stuff to them to make them die.

Yeah, the junkyard is the best place usually.

I'm thinking the u pull by you bud. Mainly because around here the guys a tool.

I'm going to do the 02 and injector mod new plugs and air filter to pick up some Mpgs

I dunno when they'll get another manual XJ... the one I pillaged for the same exact set of parts you'd need (going on a friends 2door this spring/summer probably) was the first manual XJ I've seen there in quite literally 8 months. Who knows though, they might get another one in.

I can wait a while.
Im not in a rush, I want to do it but its not a big deal to me right now.
Fans and other maintenance stuff is.

more than likely a huge haul but if you can't locate a manual xj their are a few manual xjs i just took some parts from for a member on here this past week at molts...believe their are at least 3 to choose from

D35 kinda went. In the driveway, 8.8 is going to be coming Saturday. Serious off road easy 8.8 if I get one.

For the fans ideas on how to wire?
I am thinking of putting one on the factory and the other will be on a switch directly to the battery off a relay?

Foxwar71 said something about gusseting the c s on the Dana 30 can I make them or is it worth buyin them?

Can you cut flat plate into shapes? Then you can make them ;)

Heres what I did on my old D30. Unlike what I did, make them go further down and brace around the tube as well. After awhile, I think one of mine started to bend just at the bottom of the gussets where they were welded near the tube.

Noobincheif can do this.
Might even write a cnc program and watch it go. hasta Can I put em in without pulling the axle?

Upper shock bolts are 5/16 coarse thread. They are probably going to break off, be prepared to drill them out or use a punch and a BFH to knock the weld nuts in then replace the nuts and bolts. There's a million threads on it, just search "upper shock bolts".

What do you still need for the 8.25? U-bolts? I think Rob offered you some, and if those don't work for you, parts store ones might, you want them for a 3" diameter axle tube. Doug's apparently coming by here for the gears sometime midday tomorrow.

He did?
I have a BFH and need to knock em out.
How long? Like an inch and a half?

Inch and a half or 1.75 would probably work great. I'd get a bolt, two flat washers, a lockwasher, and a nut for each end of each shock bar pin.
