Zips 2.0 My 98 build

Forgot to add, I got clayton lowers without a jj I'm thinking metalcloak duraflex joints for them

you say you don't have the funds for gears for your 30 and c 8.25 but your jumping right into a 14b and 60......urm why dont you just build what you have the 30 and 8.25 can handle those tires of yours no problemo

I am because I don't feel the need to gear an I am getting a deal on a 14b

Free is a deal on a 14B. They're everywhere.

Do what everyone else who knows better is telling you- fix your shit and wheel it. Learn the rig and learn the sport. Tons are a waste of money and time at your stage.

My axles were the cheapest purchase of my build your getting in way over your head

Yep $10 bucks

I guess. I just don't see how pouring more into something I'm going to change out later is smart.

New shafts in the 8.25
It's dropped and the new pins are going to go in tomorrow, as we'll as rebuild the pack.
Still kinda pissed
I need unit bearings
Drag link

Fact is that you can't keep the jeep together on little tires and axles how do you expect to keep it together on big axles and tires? We keep trying to help you and you keep ignoring

I am listening, I'm just trying to weigh it.

Honestly what do you think I should do?

I have.
After the draglink and the centering pins I want to finish the unibody plating

So it's not done. If you plan on daily driving and wheeling the Jeep all while building tons, you are never going to get anywhere, especially on short money.

Also, front recovery points (especially if you want to go on any runs), better tires, sliders, PM, etc > unibody plating.

Ok
I'm waiting on my order to show up
I have 2 d ring tabs coming from ruffstuff and getting my jj from Clayton I may get some metal and make some uppers.

I'm thinking of getting Billy's tires.

if you dont feel the need to gear what are you going to run with the 14b stock gears? if so are you still going to run your 33s lol? only reason for tons in my opinion is a bigger tire...bigger tire=bigger axle=deeper gears no stock 3.55s that come in the 60...so in turn you will have to re-gear. Not to mention all that lovely unsprung goodness that those 2 monsters will take a nice toll on your 16g unibody. Even with plating on the frame some internal/external cage will more than likely be necessary...its your decision with what you wanna do. but like everyone else said go for other things no need for tons.

I see we're your coming from. No to 3.55s I'd be on 4.56 from the 14b and just gear the front.

I will stick with what I have for the fall and winter for sure.

Tons get stupid expensive stupid fast to do correctly

I would suggest you research a lot and actually understand what your getting into

drill the center pin holes out to 7/16" with a masonry bit, go to the hardware store and buy 2 7/16" socket head cap screws with nuts, install, go ****ing wheeling.

Eh.

Both sides are apart getting a cap screw that will work then following dukies orders.
