Zips 2.0 My 98 build

Boggers and Swampers are both going to ride rough as hell and be loud as shit on the road.

Scour craigslist - good deals pop up every once in a while - just have to have cash ready to spring on them when they do. I paid $800 for 4 new 33" MTZs on rims though CL. You should budget about the same for decent tires.

Tires are one place you get what you pay for. Yea the expense of getting them sucks to begin with, but if you compare the increased performance and durability (treadwear) of good tires over shitty cheap ones, you'll end up buying sets of crappy tires more often when you could have been running good tires for longer - the costs work out about even in my mind.

I get this, I have rims I am going to hit up work and see what I can do for new tires.. Till then I'm going to beat my junk swampers

Im getting clayton lowers with a hiem on one side and the other is a bushing, for $50 Im not going to complain.

Also jeep got some love today and I went wheeling.

I approve of summit wires for the cost :D

Short arms wont flex.

Dropped off a CB for doug as well

have a 24 inch long DOM tube I used for a drag link if you want to use it for your steering. incorporate some kinda bastard step child version of a chevy 1 ton steering with v8 zj steering...

on the tires side of things dukie has got it right have the money ready...bought a set of good year mtr kevlars for 600 brand new still had the little hairs on em...33x12.5x15 just be patient and a sweet deal will come your way

I am, I just want a set of tires that I can beat on and that arent as shitty on road as swampers...

Also Im kicking my self for doing the V8 steering, honestly its not all that much beefier. I wish I had just gone with 1 ton or hiems right off the bat.

make the 1 ton....like i said i have the drag link up for grabs just go to the parts store and order a shit ton of TRE's

but first get longer brake lines going to your front calipers....flex hose limiting straps are nice but don't tend to last long

I'm going to leave it for now, I'm just wondering why I did it? It seems like a stupid mod in retrospect, it really is a bit stronger, just I am still on the lame tres. And it still has crush sleeves, the part that I have bent 2 times....

Now I want know know how common are wagoner 44s with 3.55 ratios?
I wouldent mind building one because of the lock outs.

I'm putting Chevy fronts on later they are good for up to 6 inches so I think with my current 3 inch setup I will be fine...

Never came in 3.55's. 2.73's or 3.31's.

I could give two shits on the gearing, its the cost. I dont need to spend 600 bucks to regear it.

Had my first major offcamber experience today that scared the shit out of me

:looser:

Less tire to ground friction means better gas mileage
