when the b.g. pic on your cell phone is not a girlfriend but your jeep

You add 2" of lift to the existing 3", and immediately call everyone you know to brag, and ask if they want to see it

You pull the xj out of the garage after installing more lift, and proceed to snag you new Hella lights on the garage door, causing one to explode all over the driveway. note to self - always check clearence after lifting the xj to make sure nothing on the roof rack is going to hit the door!!!1

You finally lift your xj enough to not fit in the garage

4GB? dude you need to step it up a little.

My pics file shows 85GB and I know at least 90% of those are either of the XJ or on a trip that they XJ took me on.

I collect pics of other more heavily modified pics of Cherokees for inspiration haha

lol... I bet the rest are porn right??? :video:

You know you drive a XJ when you have to push the fuel door in with your fingers cause some engineer forgot to put a spring and release latch in the design..

I actually enjoy how it opens. I don't like these new ones that have the special release lever clicker thing from the inside...one more thing that can break.

You know you drive an XJ when.... "what's that noise?" "what noise?" "that squeaking one." "Oh that? Um.... it's uh--- erm... well, don't worry about it, I'm sure it's not a big deal."

and the rest is copied from the den or from where the den lead you to

... when your using it as a getaway car and laugh at the guys standing in the road to block your exit.

A young man whom I had put in the navy awhile back was at his house and called me, apparently a group of guys where on the way to his apartment to jump him. Hopped in the XJ got to his place, got him in the XJ as the guys showed up and then proceeded to drive away. they blocked the road. I threw it in 4HI, drove into the grass and around a couple apartments and came out between a few trees on the other side of their cars and drove off. The look of shock and amazment was priceless and I do believe this is going in there as one of the better "I was actually sober at the time" sea stories. Just thought i would share this as I've been reading through this thread the past few days and have loved every bit of it.

I'm sure it would've been much more embarrassing to them if you would have driven through their roadblock (as in use the off-road front bumper as a ram). Although the legality of this is probably not in your favor!
:laugh3:

Yeah the legality would of been a problem, that and I dont have an offroad bumper yet, still have the stock one. I've got an RE3 lift and a few interior modifications it's a slow process when i work so many damn hours a day. Although "navy recruiter runs over local teens in jeep" would have been a great headline. Then again they probably would have compared it to me being a white vet who owns guns targeting minorities. Cause ya know, all us white military guys are crazy.

Ha ha. Sometimes you just gotta take risks. You could've always pulled your plates and left town after destroying the roadblock (and maybe a little of your Jeep!). Teach those youngsters a lesson. I know what you mean though, about not having much time. Between time and $M$O$N$E$Y$ these damn things are always a work in progress.

Haha thats pretty cool.

You know when you own a XJ when: You have permenent finger marks on your ankles from your hands and you cant sit down because it hurts to much.

when you cant sleep at night knowing that you beloved xj is sitting on jackstands when you were too tired to continue wrenching for the night/early AM. you cant help but to feel bad for her.
