XM vs. Sirius

I have XM...My brother has Sirius...Both are fine...seem to work close to the same....If it were me I would look at the programing...maybe sign up for XMs free three day trial online...don't know if sirius has this but wouldn't be suprized....Go with whatever you like better. I would have gone either way but The headdeck I wanted had XM built in so thats what I went with.

So what do you all think would happen if sirius fell through in a few years? get a "sorry" letter or would they have to buy the equipment back?

Not sure how it would work, but Im sure someone would take over their satellite broadcasting. Who knows, maybe they might have gone the way of the Beta tape and Laser disc. I have about 30 movies on laser disk, and once my player breaks, I'm screwed. But the sound and picture...Oh so much better than my DVD's.

Anyway, Sirius was trying to break the 1 millioon customer mark, and they did it. I don't think they are going anywhere soon.

I would go XM, lots of guys in the office have it and love it. I think they will be around longer, seem to be doing more with the business.

Sirius is not going out of business any more than XM is. Satellite radio is here to stay, do you think only one company will provide it? Never gonna happen. Sirius is quicly catching up with subscribers. XM only has more subscribers because they're GM's bitch.

I am debating getting another Alpine deck. If it comes with XM, I might sign up.

PLAYBOY??? What's the point? I don't want to hear it, I WANT TO SEE IT. Can it be connected to some time of LCD Screen? If so, I might sleep outside more often.

well, i was having trouble getting all of my channels, so i called the tech support. They gave me the run around and blamed it on my equiptment, so i had to call pioneer, they blamed it on my XM service, said it wasn't the epuiptment, then XM told me that it was the installation... I installed it, I'm MECP certified, I have worked as an install tech for 6 years. The Xm worked for over a year...they just don't want to help you, and then they wanted me to buy a lifetime membership...I cancelled my service. I'm not going to pay for 2 radio's every month and not get all my channels. so i'm getting sirius... BTW, the playboy channel is playboy bunnies who talk to you, it's a show sort of like when Howard Stern has hot girls on and they just giggle and do stupid crap. I agree I would much rather see them than hear them.
