XJ Leans to one side

When I changed my rear springs, I noticed a substantial lean to the left, I went over what I may have done different in my head. When I tightened the pass. side bolts for the shackle to body and spring, I did it with it hanging in the air, when I did the drivers. I had my floor jack holding up hard on the axle, from when I was lining up the holes and tightened it with the jack still holding all the weight. I went back , loosened the pass side, and re-tightened with the load of the jeep on the spring. It seemed to take most of it away until my fat as gets in. I doubt everyone who has this problem made the bolt error like I did, and maybe I looked the second time with my lazy eye, but in my head it solved my problem, or some of it. :)

i did just have my rear diff welded, maybe that's the cause for the lean. how does that make it lean?
I guarantee you that’s it. Next time you park coast in, come in straight and keep the wheel strait, and as you do so drop it in N. I bet you get out and its level...

I cant believe no one else mentioned lockers/welded diffs. hummm can you tell ive had some experiance with this? !!!1

my budget lift (BroncoII bastard packs and V8 coils/spacers) ended up settling a little less than 3/8" lower on the right than to the left (front coils/rear leafs packs both did it). I always figured that the weight of the driver/keeping the spare in the stock location in the back left corner is enough to keep it looking leveled out when I'm driving.

haha nice. I think in most cases its just torque lean. On mine most people dont notice it unless I point it out, and its very subtle. It is noticable when im driving, but thats just from the combo of having a 4.0L and a 5 speed layin down 220ft lbs of torque :)
