XJ Leans to one side

My XJ leans to the drivers side. I would say about 1 inch and appears to be uniform along for front and back. Any idea what is causing it.
1996 XJ Country
3.5" RE Lift with 1" spacer
Add a Leaf and 1" block in the rear.
31" Tires

try searching. :)

This happens more often than not. The torque of your motor forces the rig to stress the right spring more than the left spring.

Its an easy fix, you'll find it with 20 minutes of searching. :)

wouldn't that make it lean on the passenger side???

Yeah, I didn't catch that.

Scratch the torque, add fat-ass driver.

Hmm leaning to the left? I think it will straighten up when the Democratic National Convention is over. :roflmao:

My XJ leans on the left side too. It sucks, I have RK 6.5" lift on 36" IROKS. When the rear springs flattened out after some wheeling, I replaced them with RE springs. It was perfect until after few more wheeling, then it leans on the left side again. Thats BS. Makes me want to give up and get rear coil over suspension set up, but thats 1500 dollars :(

Or get some ACOS, I just got mine this fall (mine was leaning slightly on the passenger side) and they sorted it out in style.

My bds coils came with 1 coil a little bit longer than the other.. that 1 is supposed to go on the passenger side to compensate for torque lean.and in my bastard pack i will add 1 more leaf to the passenger side to compensate for it.

Just add a leaf to the low side. Hey, listen to this one -- on another forum for a different vehicle, one joker said that he adjusts his tire pressures to level out the vehicle. I gave him all the reasons why he shouldn't use this method, but he had answers for every one. (He had even braking, even on ice, and no uneven tire wear, etc.) WTF -- geniuses everywhere!

They are made by JKS, ACOS - Adjustable Coil Over Spacers. They replace the rubber isolators on top of the coil springs (and poly spacers if you are running them) and adjust the ride height up to 4 inches with either side being adjusted independent from each other. Look em up on the JKS web site.

A locker or a welded diff will make it sit leaning while its parked.

If your open carrier then maybe your exhaust has been blowing on the pass side leaf springs that will do it too.

I agree with Jim, its just the XJ Gangsta Lean going on. Pimp slap it back into shape...or loose some weight!
