looking for a mj to build up
budget for it is nonexistent id say im willing to spend around 700$
ive already called on one or two for around 400-500$

maybe more for something in good shape
i just called on a good running one , they let it go for 700 on sfbay cl today(the one thats 950 is gone)
too bad!
im obviously willing to work on it if i expect it to need work

is there any kind of namja????

ive already seen the way overpriced 3k ones on cl(there are two)

and the 2 for 2500$(ill happily pass on those two)

working on a lifted one for 400$ right now that i found but it might sell before i can get it

yah seriously!
i figure i could use a gear hauler
and also something for my brothers to wheel
build it mild
spring over rear with a locker( is that like 5" of lift???)
(use d35 axle i have lying around with locker and 3.55s)

3" of spacers up front
use shocks i have already

stock gears(unless its a manual then throw in 3.55 axles and a lockright)
and just 31's

maybe someday throw a lunch box in the front
and a cage . sliders, and skids

use my old zj steering


buy the mj for 400$ and fix whatever needs fixing

it sold b4 i called

ive called 4 times on the humbolt one for 400
no answer or call back

im all over craigslist everyday

i was wondering if anyone knows of any thing out there, maybe local with a for sale sign on it , or someting like that.

i just recently decided i want one

I picked mine up for 800 from a friend who picked it up for 600 on CL and put about 2-300 of parts into it.

Who doesn't want an MJ these days? I'm DDing mine while slowly restoring it, and use it to make junkyard runs + parts train runs

yah im gonna wait til i get a runner for under 1000.
i figure there are some well built ones out there for 2k.
theres a real nice one in the CO chapter.
for like 2100. its built nice
i have enough parts now that i could build it up sans tires for cheap

it was outta my price range anyway
a buddy on here might have found a 2wd 4cyl with a blown head for 300$
itd be dirt cheap to convert to 4wd...
i have a few spare t cases and driveshafts etc

if you can get it for 300 go for it and never look back, the body alone is worth that, drivetrain is easy, especially since you seem to part a jeep every other day :spin1: wish I had the space to do that kind of stuff.
