work party, escondido

The 96 had a tank on the passenger side, above the blower motor. You could look for one of these or relocate your stocker.

If the later model ones that go in the drivers fender could be made to work, it would be awesome to free up some underhood space. Mine is getting a little cramped between the OBA manifold, and other accessories.

My washer fluid tank is still in that location with the 96+ booster. It's a little tight, but the lines are bent down early enough out of it that it's fine.

the problem with the ones in the fender is that at full stuff, the tire will unplug the hoses....

ask me how I know :roflmao:

got my rear suspension pretty much done, just gotta recharge the shocks, put gear oil in the rear end, and figure out what to do with the ebrake cables. i also have to do the exhaust. sits at 3" of lift, and i think i can stuff 33's with the quarter pannel trim. pretty excited to try it out!
after this is done, i just have to weld on the front radius arm brackets, wrap up the d30, and swap that in. then i'm ready for the jamboree!!

both pics are at ride height (3" of lift)

so i managed to fit a cherry bomb turbo muffler on it, so at least there's a muffler now. not horribly loud, but i want to try and find a way to run some pipe in there somewhere.
also took it for it's maiden test drive. handles great on the street, less body roll than before, somehow. very stable. brakes drag a little i think, could just be that the rotors were rusty. now to swap the front axle....

That would have taken me a year...

...and still wouldn't look anywhere as clean.

Vey nice... I need to come by and check it out sometime.

felt like a year lol
thanks man, come up anytime. did you get to check out those wheels at the jy?

aaand time for a new page.

got the front radius arm brackets made and welded on. also got the front fenders trimmed to match the back. now i should have room for 33's. other than a couple small pieces of sheet metal, i think i am done welding for the most part. time to get the front axle assembled so i can swap it in and call it ready for the weekend.

damn, i thought there were 10 posts per page. Sorry Burt Reynolds, you have to stay. well here's some pics.
hope i can learn to weld before the end of this project. getting a little better as it progresses.
