i have a list of stuff i'd like to do before TDS, but no big deal if i cant. if anyone wants to help out, it would be awesome.
here's the list:
durango steering box
dirt bound front bumper brackets
make rear bumper
bigger master cyl and brake booster from 96+ xj
frame stiffeners
RE track bar bracket
my plan is to leave friday morning so whatever i do has to be done by then.
the stuff that really should be done is the durango box, track bar bracket, and front bumper brackets. everything else isnt going to keep me from wheeling.
i can supply beer and pizza!

looks like i wont get my steering box in time, so ill probably just work on the bumpers myself. i think ill probably wait on the brake booster too since ill have to rebleed the brakes when i swap my axle and change the prop valve anyways.
the stiffeners i may do still, it all depends on how much work i get done.

Steering box will only take a day if that
Then do the brakes, if you don't have to drive the next day.Then you'll have steering and brakes for TDS

Don't get into a panic and over-prepare. I've gone on many a run with things I wished I could have gotten done but didn't; as long as safety itself isn't an issue, wheel it and love it.

i just want some recovery points, since i really dont have any. my steering box is acting up, so it's fairly important, and the track bar bracket is garbage. wont stay tight for a whole day. makes sense to at least do the front bumper brackets when i have my track bar bracket off so i'm planning on at least doing those. if my new plasma cutter comes in before thursday, i may make an attempt at fabbing the rear bumper. it doesnt look like the steering box will be delivered in time for the weekend so i may be SOL, but i will bring a spare used one just in case.
