Windrock ride

Good luck and be safe guys, have lots of fun and minor carnage.

Fuel prices scarring anyone off yet? I'm leave for Dayton Tenn. in the morning, hopefully my junk stays together and I'll see yall late next friday night.

Well fuel prices are a bit of concern for me. With gas approching $5 bucks at some places around here and not sure what diesal is doing yet. With dumb luck I fueled up my truck before all this happened. If they stay right around where they are at right now I will be there. Hope y'all don't mind but a buddy of mine with a Pathfinder is coming up with me. We will either be there Thur. night or Friday am. We Will be camping in the parking lot. There is a pay place right down the road with all hook ups. Hopefully will see all there.

Also I have a M6000 brand new in the box that I will sell if anyone is looking for one and I can bring it to the ride. I also will have an open seat if looking for a ride. 500 cash for the winch and you can take it home.

I'm back from Dayton, didn't break anything ...so I'll be there friday night late....looks like parking lot camping..woohoo. Sean, you still in? I want to ride Rattlerock and another one that's nasty called the "rail trail".

I'm in on that, should be a few people willing to run that(at least rattlerock). I wouldn't mind rail trail if it's somewhat do able, don't feel like winching on everything, I've heard some nasty stories of that trail.

I'll be out either Friday evening or Sat morning. So my questions are:

Where is everybody staying Friday night?

What time are we hitting the trails on Saturday and where are we starting from?

Lee

Rail trail is a spin off of 39 I think. Dibble and crew had a hell of a time on it. I was thinking I'd rather wheel than winch the whole time. I'd like to check it out before writing it off though.

Oh yeah, glad you didn't break anything.

We aren't dragging 6K or better up it either. Not busting on their rigs, but they are heavy. I'm at less then 3500 and that TJ has to be in the same neighborhood. If it doesn't rain between now and then I think we'll be fine. This is one of the last rides the ol' MJ will be making, picked up my 350ft. of DOM,LT1,T350 for the winter buggy project, hate to part out the MJ but I need 350 to 400 hp and a full tube chassis... we'll see yall there.

Never mind, I see where everyone is camping in the parking lot. I guess it helps if I read through the entire post! I'll see y'all there.

On the permits section of the windrock site, it says "A Land use permit is required for each person entering the Coal Creek OHV Area."
Is that supposed to be each vehicle? Or if you bring your family of 4, that's $60 a day?
Sorry if that's been covered, but I didn't see it and need some clarification.

edit: nevermind, I just read on their forum that it is each person, not vehicle.
that kinda sucks.
