The annual Swamp Lake Trail XJ run is coming up soon. We've had 20+ XJ's on this trip now for quite a while, and it's always a fun time. Directions are posted on the thread in the Sierra chapter forum. As usual, we'll camp at our nice big spot in the trees at Dinkey Creek on Thursday night, then start the trail Friday morning. This year we'll be camping for two nights at Grouse Lake again, which seems to be the favorite way of doing the run. We'll hit the trail early enough on Sunday morning so those who want to can also run Bald Mtn trail that afternoon.

Here are a few pics from last years run: Swamp Lake XJ run

This is moderate rock crawling on a very pretty trail, which climbs to 9900' between Grouse and Swamp lakes. The campsite is on the shoreline of Grouse Lake. We swim, hike, fish, and paddle around the lake in blow up boats, and this is a good run for kids.

So.....who's going this year?
