Ha Ha U Funnie. Almost as funnie as the Rubicon Kid posting up about what tires he thinks might work up in our hills. MT/Rs (with a road-hazard plan) might own the rocks out west... but there ain't no Discount Tire or Sam's Club within a hunnerd miles of Tellico. Better bring a couple spares and a fistful of plugs, Red.
Really though... I DID manage to make it to Tellico last fall with 4 matching tires.. LOL too bad they were P225 sedan tires, and -big surprise- I shredded one (then shredded the 'almost matching' spare on the gravel road back to camp) That one Kevin found on the side of the road is still mounted, and the spare with the handful of plugs in the sidewall is still holding air. I almost hate to change em out - they've been good luck. :laugh3:
Tax refunds inbound, and since Karen 'stole' ours last year, I've got "dibs" on this year's. I love it when a plan comes together.
Anybody have a expericance with the Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips? These would run on a dd, with the only offroading being at Uhwarrie. I like to looks of the PJ's, just don't know how they would perform. Thanks
