Whats the deal with Pirate4x4???

ok....whos next?....my junk isnt built enough to play the bigger d**k game..but someone else should "whip it out" and play wth him...lol

Thats right little girl, now pipe down. :D

I wasn't realy bragging, he wanted to know what it takes to run 37's and I figured I'd tell him what I've got on my rig to run 36's. If I was bragging I would have included the cost of what I paid for and then showed what I saved in labor by doing it in my garage. Only labor I paid for was that of a few friends and lucky for me they're cheap and were willing to work for PBR. :D

But yes, I am proud of my rig .

I'll chime in.I'm running 37" tires. I have a hp dana 44 up front with chrome molly shafts, ox ujoints and a detroit locker. In the rear I have a stock 9" ford with a detroit locker. I'm sitting on about 10" of lift. The rear is a dual trianglated 4 link. Up front I'm running a clayton long arm with the passenger side uca removed. My jeep has been chopped and sub-framed.

Pirate weeds out the weak...............:D

Exactly what DJ said. You guys can bitch and moan ALL you want about Pirate, but had you just done a little reading and observing first hand...there would have been no problem. Pirate is the hardcore of hardcore, you have to have some thick skin to be able to last over there, or just some sensibility. I spend 90% of my forum time on there because the high end tech to be had FAR FAR surpasses anywhere else. I've met a LOT of the "big names" on that board, and 90% of them are friendly people just as here on NAXJA. You have to realize, posting certain things on a hardcore board are gonna get ya railed. Live, learn, and get the fawk over it. If you ever get to the point of high end fab, that site becomes very valuable to you. You can only see certain types of posts so many times before you get pissed off to.

Sorry to somewhat rant...but I see so many people getting all butt hurt about Pirate, when had they done a little homework they'd have realized what that site is all about.

they were pretty brutal,
That's brutal?
They said you need a sawzall, a hammer, a clue, a larger brain, and better questions. Some actually chimed in with a little help and pics of their rigs.

The 7th post down was a little much....(and slightly funny), but yes once it was moved then things quieted down.

@Sherman_thetank:The "Cupcake" was for jeepdude btw. Just couldn't resist taking a little shot! All in fun though I thought post 7 was pretty funny.. To me the little grinning flipoffs don't seem that threatening/mean. Maybe I just take them the wrong way.
I've seen people catch a lot worse on the Adv. Fab. board here. I'm not that into fabbing my own stuff(yet) and that generally keeps me from posting there (and getting flamed for not knowing what I'm talking about).

Haha no i no what you meant, that is why i kinda keep to myself overthere.

Wow, if those posts seemed that harsh, I'd suggest you stay away from pirate for a while. That is nothing compared to what you usually see for questions like that on Pirate. I'd say they were relatively nice. You got off pretty easy on that one.

Personally, I just lurk most of the time over there. If I post I make sure it's something pirate worthy.... If not, I post it on here or Colorado4x4.

Pirate is a great place to get tons of good advanced tech info. Unfortunately, to keep it a good place for real tech info, they have had to adopt a low tolerance for noob questions. It's harsh, but neccessary. NAXJA is a great learning forum, Pirate is a more advanced modification group (overall).
