What Was Your First Car?

How about a 2 door 72 Chevelle Malibu with a vinyl top, aluminum mags, headers and dual exhaust. Got the car when I was 15 and was driving it to school 6 months before I turned 16. Talk about some jealous older classmen and to think dad paid $400.00 for the car and another hundred for an extra set of wheels. Loved that old car and miss the simplicity of that time.:D

My fisrt car was a 69 Road Runner 383 4spd and 3.23 rear. I don't know how old you guys are, but I remember everyone kicking in 30 or 40 cents to fill the tank with gas! when gas got to 50 cents it was killing us.

'71 Ford Maverick Grabber w/302ci and 3 on the tree. Bias tires, no AC, and no power anything but the engine.

Like this with a black vinal top...

Still have the wheels, wish I still had the car.:rattle:

Bones :skull1:

1991 XJ Bought it for $1000 with all the bells and whistles(it's a limited). leaks a quart a week and has severe blowby, BUT it'll start right up in single digit weather and it gets 18mpg. Hopefully it'll get a new engine when its warm enough to feel my hands for more than 5min.

1978 Buick Century Wagon. 3.8 V6, constant supply of junkyard tires for the right rear tire. Lots and lots of stains in the back. Oh, the stories that sucker could tell! Survived WAY longer than it should have. After all, I learned to drive by watching the Dukes of Hazzard.
