What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Well for once I am not a day behind on posting what I did today...

1. fixed my vent visor (it was coming of in the back)
2. adjusted my toe-in
3. adjusted my steering wheel back to the right spot after the toe adjust
4. made and installed some lower control arm skids
went from

to this

and I also finished fixing (cutting out, welding in new metal) one of the tractor fenders for Rich(RMS692)

And drove around the pasture in the Mule for a bit to get some fresh air(breeze) and to take a break..lol

I think that was it but probably not.....

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

hooked up a manual fan switch. have it spliced into the original wiring so if i forget to turn it on or for some reason accidentally switch it off, the temp sensor and A/C will still kick it on.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

started welding in some floor pans to replace the rusted holy old ones.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

my HOA hated NAXJA as a whole lol

i wonder why? :D

Did I hear you say something about a NAXJA GTG in front of the HOA presidents house?

lol, but we would be breaking the two vehicles per household/driveway rule. which is kinda funny cause no one follows that rule yet i never hear the end of all my violations

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Installed some Genright hood vents, hoping this will help keep the under hood temps down this summer.
Taped and measured. 7" from top edge of the hood, and 4" over from edge of the recess in the center of the hood.

First side cut and drilled. No turning back now. :sp_ahhh:

Don't look too bad. Used stainless screws and hardware rather than the supplied rivets. Wanted them to be removable, if needed.

Thanks to Crusher16 for helping me remove/install the hood. I owe you lunch. :nodyes:

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

dammit Brian! Why don't you ever call ME when the fun shit is going on!?!?

oh yeah, they look good! where did you get them?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Hehe...I am a spur of the minute kind of guy. Wasn't planning on doing them until next weekend, but got everything measured and said WTF, where's the jigsaw!!

I ordered those straight from Genright. $65 shipped IIRC.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Bought a new rig! '87, 2wd, 4cylinder, 4speed, short bed. The PO overheated it and couldn't get it to start again.
