What did you do to your XJ today

Oh I bet the cops will love that obstruction of the view out your front windshield. They can give you a ticket for having just your GPS blocking your view.

it doesent look any worse than my rearview and CB in the same location. i dig this mod! i have wanted "corner cams" for years.

Bronze.

Rear-view Delete Mod?

nah.. PO had knocked it off and reglued it at some point. glue wasn't the greatest and the mirror fell off after a decent bump on the trail the other day. can't decide if i want to reglue it or get a wink mirror instead. had one in my civic and loved the inceased visibility.

not too worried about it.. it sits above the mirror. a flipped down visor hangs down twice as far as this thing does and i've yet to get a ticket for using those ;)

Been working alot in the yard so Today I start the cut off prosess Ill post a couple shots later on.

Not bad for 2.5" lift and 235/75/15s. Have to find some bolt on extended bump stops for the rear, the leafs were negative arch when I flexed it. Amazingly I think after some bump stops, I can fit 31" pretty easily.

Other new spring showed up at work the other day!

All the bushings and my riddler cover came in from qaudratec. Went with rubber for ride quality!

Also ordered some sway bar relocation brackets in preparation for the WJ knuckles and Currie Anti-rock!

Bachelor living...

The kid who bought my old OME leaf springs put in poly bushings, Getting the old rubber ones out was definitely the worst part of this whole operation. Pain in the ***!

A little bit of work... and a six pack later...

And they are in! I snapped all 4 bolts for my extended frame side rear bump stops... ugh going to have to drill and tap or figure out something next weekend. I also could not get my new bilstiens in because of the upper shock mounts being such a pain in the ***. Next weekend I will have the rig up on a lift for the gears so I will do both those things then!

Oh ya he was replacing these after breaking his rear drive-line on his first drive-line... I wonder why that happened... LOL

That just looks so wrong!

AJ's bumper getting some paint and will be mounted in the next few days! Jeep still sits high in the nose. Will probably ditch these springs and run the RE 5.5 with a 3/4inch spacer when all is said and done.

Ya if you notice in the last picture I had to take off the cross bars for it to fit....

That is why i want to ditch the front coils and do 5.5 RE and 3/4 spacer which will bring me right around 6 inches after the 80 pound bumper and 80 pound winch.. going to wait and see where the bumper brings the front down too and go from there. the RE 7.5 coils are a bit too tall imho but I got a package deal on the 35s on rims those coils and some rear body side bump stops so I said meh through em on for now..

Well today I replaced the wide open locked thermostat that happened after my water pump died the other day. No pics of it but just to show you how badly I had the belt tightened

Or double check the ring on the shift fork that is on the main shaft hub. The groove that the shift fork sits in is offset. The shorter lip faces the rear drive line side and the longer lip faces the front of the vehicle. That's the best way I could say it. It's easy to get this backwards. Short lip faces you as you slide it on the shaft.
