What did you do to your XJ today

So I got all my axle stuff mostly figured out but Im not sure about the pinion angel so 10* is what my dead 8.25 has and Im not sure what my 35 has because Its still installed and has a Shim like 6* or 8* what Ive been reading is I should shoot for around 11* with using a stock drive shaft NO SYE (Im PO and cant afford) so I figured 10* was good but Im hoping somebody here could help.

With a non cv drive line you want the pinion angle to match the rear slip yoke angle

Mounted my bumper! Whos going to the work party sunday? I am going down hope to finally meet some PNW jeepers!

did you check the Ujoint's and pinion? Ive had my pinion work loose Im sure thats why I broke my ring gear.

I did check the pinion. It's tight and quiet when messing with by hand. It's getting new gears in a month or so, so that will be new then and hopefully noise will be gone. I just got the bearings done and need to put the cover on and road test. We will see what the verdict is.

Started my Napier flare instal. I will be doing a write up on them in the modified section. Here's a crappy picture of the rear. I started there first since it was the hardest.

Oh and the bearing instal went awesome and almost all noise is gone. Now you can tell the noise is isolated to the differential/pinion bearings.

I've done a lot of upgrades over the past 6 months. But today I swapped out my completely froze-on downstream O2 sensor. I've decided that would be a great punishment for enemy combatants in Git-Mo. As you were.

spewed gas all down the side, guess there was no auto-shut off at that pump... ..got all over me and then i went to work at my computer job anyways, hahah

I finally bit the bullet and bought a lift kit for mine. Nothing too big but I'll be getting it installed in a few weeks. Got the Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Flex short arm (I can upgrade to Long arm when I have the green backs) full leafs, not add-a-leaf, and shocks. Ordered them from 4WD in Tacoma. Should be here in about a week.

Got a order going with a local Guy who is going to build me a Radius arm set up for my rig. Also came across a strange deal I cleaned up my 8.8 and my Ruff Stuff shipment showed up but it has these funny little nipples that hold the perch off the housing do I grind them off or drill dimples in the housing ??? Any help would be much appreciated as I would like to have my stuff ready to weld this week.

Who's pos Mopar is that?

Says the guy with a half ton gas truck

How's that 5k tow limit treating you?

Hey how was the hills leaving SpcFab?

Cool not everyone needs a diesel, but as a gas guy you don't have any room to talk about tow rigs unless your talking to a guy towing a Cherokee with a Cherokee.
